It's a final and like Rafa Benitez likes to say, "The final is not just for playing. We must play to win in a final."
Sao Paolo's defence might have been breeched twice, but it was by an impressive Al Ittihad side that in my opinion is the 3rd best side in the tournament. However, like typical Brazilans, their game is built around flair and technicality. They concede 2, but they score 3 to win the game.
I think Rafa will field a strong side for the finals. He will probably try to use most of the squad on sunday. Players rested for the semis will most likely be recalled into the starting lineup. Finnan, Warnock and Morientes will probably go straight back into the first eleven.
It's been a while since Liverpool conceded a goal but they will face their sternest test yet against the offensive Sao Paolo team. Extending the record run will be great but the win is even more important.
If everything goes to plan, Liverpool should edge out their brazilan counterparts and celebrate their inaugural World Club Championships triumph.
