actually there will be non-fans mocking at pool's failure. but i believe it's not the cup that count but the oversea expedition that pool players gained after these matches. not many teams can experience it even in their lifetime, let alone 20 years.

in the end our poor finishing lost us the game ... yes we had a bit of bad luck, their keeper made some good saves, and i thought the 3rd disallowed goal should have stand ... but we should have scored with our other chances ... we dominated the 2nd half but they defended very well so credit to them
there were, however, positive signs ... we will learn from them and bounce back -
The win flattered Sao Paolo. Over 90 minutes, Liverpool had the upperhand in terms of possession, shot attempts and possbililty every other offensive statistic. Nevertheless, the only statistic that mattered favored the Brazilian champions.
The decision to stick with the ineffective Morientes for over 85 mins really baffled me. I also felt that a weary Harry Kewell should have been taken off too. Liverpool paid the heavy price for not finishing off the chances they had.
It was a sorry end to this wonderful run of matches, but it's of utmost importance that the players rebound for the very difficult Xmas period ahead. -
