I was very dissappointed when I saw Rafa line up Sissoko and Hamann in the middle of midfield. I understand his concern for Alonso's fitness but I felt that if he wanted to rest Alonso, at least start with Gerrard in the middle. The middle is crucial. With Sissoko and Hamann, there'll be no creativity and passing abililty in the centre.
Not surprisingly, Liverpool only started playing when Garcia and Alonso came on.
Hyppia's howler was unfortunate. Reina could have done better with the 2 goals.
Kewell is slowly improving, which is a good sight. Pongolle looked lost.
Overall, it should have been 3 points had Rafa started the game with a better midfield pairing and Cisse, instead of Pongolle.
You wanna rest players from the start? Sure, but you drop 2 points. ( I don't see Chelsea resting Lampard and Makelele) -
as the season progress chelsea's domination will become more obvious. they have quality players even in the reserves.
without excessive funds liverpool must make sure they dont end up buying any white elephants. -
Now that SAF and AW have conceded that Chelsea consistency is too much for their team to overcome this season. Will RB concede too and concentrate on the other trophies and for next season's EPL?

All along he has been only concentrating on the next game ahead. No mentions about winning the EPL or the Champions League again. I think thats the way to go. Take it one match at a time. At the same time, I don't think Rafa will come out and openly surrender the EPL title. Until its mathematically impossible, anything can still happen. You never know. You've just got to make sure you win your games. That's all the best you can do. Don't worry about what other teams are doing. -
