LFC dominated the whole midfield play but they are wasteful of thier chances

Liverpool played well in containing the midfield and strike force of Man Utd for 85 mins.
They were playing for a draw during the last 5 minutes.
Man Utd went on fire for the last 5 mins and they won.
This is true fun about soccer.
There is no certainty for victory.
We have to thank Man Utd for bringing Ah Ben and the fan that Liverpool is not a finished product.
Nando was a passenger when he come on.
At least Sinama have tried to get the ball into the penalty area.
Cisse is having a off day. (He is just digging his own grave)
The striker dept is not good enough. -

I'll just comment the entire team played well. Cisse was caught by surprise with that ball, cannot blame him.
I just felt that Rafa, once again, showed too much respect to the "top teams", ala Chelsea, Man U, Arsenal and Tottenham even. His objective was to first contain the opposition, then try to create a few chances here and there and hopefully 'Pool can score.
Alas, 'Pool, in the tactic of containing the other team, have lost their own composure and way of attacking. Being caution is good, but I feel it's better to try to score first rather then prevent the other side from scoring first. How long can your defence last? I thought Liverpool's attack can be very impressive, especially during their run of wins where their passing was so smooth, fast and awesome to watch.
Oh well, at least I console myself on two points:
i)Man U can only perform on "big" matches. They are still crap against the average teams. Don't be surprised if they lose to another midtable team again.
ii)I betted on Man U. $20. Either my heart or my money. Win-win situation!

standard la. its obvious united has more depth in their squad. While liverpool always will be happy to settle for a draw, united goes all out for a win. Even though liverpool may play better, sometimes its got to do with team spirit and desire to win as well.

LFC strikers were very very poor. How did Cisse miss that open goal oppourtunity??? He should have scored and that would have changed the game dramatically. Crouch tried but wasn't good enough. Morientes was as effective as the fourth official on the sidelines.
The zonal defence caught Liverpool out again from a set piece. It was a good header from Rio but bad marking from the LFC defence. How can he be allowed a free header in the dying seconds of the game??
A draw at the end will have certainly been a fairer result, but football is never always fair and the results don't always give a true reflection. Bragging rights have gone to OT for now, but LFC must pick up and move on. 2nd place is certainly still very much in their hands. -

dont be too sure about it. 2 games in hand dont mean anything until they have won it. anything can happen. even if they do win it they will only be 2 points in front.
worst thing is a draw from one of these 2 games will put them in 3rd place because of an inferior goal difference.
the competition for 2nd place is still very wide open.
the match yesterday, a 6-pointer was of utmost importance. -

Ah Ben is always cool after his defeat.
It is only last night that I see him so hot during the interview.
Can see that he is VERY UPSET about the defeat.

But Man Utd pressed on for a victory towards the end and thats what made the difference.
Kinda lucky for Man Utd too for them coz in terms of possession, we were not keeping the ball well.
In the first half, lots of stray passing from O'Shea and Giggsy. Thank goodness O'Shea picked up an injury.
Man Utd was being overrun in midfield and fergie was sly enuff to go pack the midfield with 5 in the end and that in a way, slightly balanced things out.
Unlucky for liverpool. But being a Man U supporter, i'm not complaining.
All in all, great game -
We dominated the bloody game only to lose to some lucky goal as USUAL by manutd.

All I am saying is that finishing 2nd is still within their control. They don't have to rely on results elsewhere. -

My consolation ..... the way those Manures celebrated the victory show our "Supremacy" .
They knew they were "lucky" to get away three points from us .
It's been a long time since they started off as underdogs .
