Strange.. but I can oni envisioned Fowler striking fear in a LFC jersey.. always been. But not in white, not in a Blue.. never...no matter how much goals he scored.
Yeh, I'm excited abt his partnership with Crouch.
Cisse, I always felt.. a disruptive element in the LFC camp with his nonchalant attitude on the field and whinings. His recent bash on his wife Jade made it even worse. -
So when will it be Owen's turn?
Anyway, it's great news that Robbie Fowler's returning to Anfield. I can't wait to see him in action on the field, scoring at the kop end. You can just imagine the kind of reception he is going to get from the home supporters.
Like some of you have mentioned, I think everyone who loves Liverpool Football Club will rejoice at the return of "God"

Fowler was GOD as he truly love Liverpool Football Club.
He was passionate about playing for the club.
As for Owen, he is more worried about his World Cup position as he need Sven to assure him of his striker placing.
He left Liverpool to seek for more glory in Real Madrid.
He is a traitor.
He left RM to ensure his placing in World Cup.
He is just a selfish player.
So, I am glad that Fowler is back as I agreed with Ah Ben that the present batch of players lack passion to play for Liverpool. -

fowler is no longer the player he used to be. he came back because he is unable to command a first team place at man city. and if you follow man city's matches you will know that he missed a hell lot of easy chances too. and the worst thing is he is injury prone. i guess thats the reason why he is back at liverpool only on loan. dont expect too much from him, he is after all 30 already.
from this loan it is obvious RB is desperate. -

fowler would never have left us if he wasn't forced out by houllier ... it has remained one of his greatest career regrets ... he has always been linked to the reds one way or another, such as the 5 finger salute to man u etc ... what have we heard from owen apart from whether he has any regrets? did he not have his chance to come back this summer ... it's fair enough he has his wc place on his mind ... it's fair enough he is more concerned about his career and his "medals" ... that's why he will never be respected by the red fans like fowler is ... he will never generate as much excitment even if he did return ...
it's true fowler is currently a shadow of the player he used to be ... his biggest contribution to us may or may not be on the field but if ah ben has confidence in him then that's enough ... perhaps ah ben is the one manager who can help him rediscover some of his previous form again ... this is where he belongs and may his stay be long ...

Given his age and physical fitness, I dun really expect any possibility of Fowler lasting for 90 mins.
But, I believe he will become the key player to come on the last 10 mins (Ah Ben alway deploy his substitute at 80 mins) to break any deadlock.
That 10 mins would be enough for him and Liverpool.
For Fowler, I agreed that he is taking a gamble to play soccer again as he will be out of contract at the end of the year.
He is also taking a pay cut by moving over to Liverpool.
He is only on loan for half season to Liverpool.
If he cannot make it, he can hang up his boots and become a landlord.
He dun need the extra cash.
For Ah Ben, he would jump any opportunity to get a striker for free and dispose of him if he did not perform at the end of season.
Therefore, it is a win-win situation for both Ah Ben and Fowler.
But, a thing to note is that he may disappoint and perform lousy.
Recalling the signing of Nando that generate some much interest in assuming that we have solved the striker issue with his CL performance.
At this day, Nando is still playing below par. -
Fowler will definitely be in the squad against Birmingham , and maybe who knows , after 2-0 to Liverpool , Benitez may well throw him into the ring , and let the fans know why exactly did he signed Fowler .
Trust me , being at 30 , being a Scouser , and playing at Anfield , and playing for his beloved club , age cannot defy passion .

I've nothing agst people who mind/protect their self-interests, but there's a big difference if u do w/out clear conscience. Tat's why I'll always have great respect for those passionate players! Btw, I think Steve Bull deserves a mention for sticking out with Wolves in the 80s.
Now to Fowler, wat a coup tat may prove to be! And he's oni 30!!! Surely we're not expecting a energetic and spiced-up Fowler of old, but his footballing brain and skills are wat we need fm him rite now!
