Liverpool was able to hold Man Utd for 85 mins and lost the last 5 mins due to too much respect.
Not sure Ah Ben would change his conservative tactics against Chelsea.

Both team seem to be saving energy and players for the sunday match.
The team with the on-form strike force is Chelsea.
Judging on how Liverpool can struggle and unable to score against 10 men Birmingham, Chelsea would have the edge over Liverpool.
It would boil down to which team is more hungry.
Chelsea would be disappointed to draw against Villa.
So, my guess is the match is decided by a freak goal from either side. -
Liverpool better not make any cock ups this Sunday!

it is not about winning the match just to show off as a lot of money will be at stake. a draw will do liverpool a lot of good. they are also playing away from home. chelsea can afford to lose the match but not liverpool. thus liverpool will be very defensive.
so a draw is very very likely. -

Liverpool Could Have been 5 points away from Chelsea Leader If they had won against bolton , man utd , birmingham and the next 2 games !
it is easy to say hard to do -
Being a champion is to withstand all the pressure to stay on top and remain unbeaten.
So far, Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea have done that.
Liverpool is still in its learning curve in maintaining the top position.
Ah Ben have to prevent his players from burn-out especially when they have embarked on a long season with so many matches on hand.
He have suffered enough injury last season to relive the experience again. (Sad to say that the present bunch of reserve players cannot step in and score a goal, eg Smicer & Biscan or Ah Ben have loaned out all the potential match saver eg mellor, le tellec, sinama)
So, Ah Ben seem to be commiting suicide or planting his players for the big fight next season.
Maybe the players are send over to the various clubs as spy. -

they have played the most games so far this season - 40
last season's 1-0 CL win at anfield was the reds only victory in 8 meetings with chelsea in all competitions. they did draw 0-0 twice against chelsea in the CL this season.
