  KopTalk : Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard has come 2nd in the polling for the England national side's Player of the Year 2005 award.
  
  Chelsea's Frank Lampard scooped the award with 29% of the total votes from tens of thousands of football supporters.
  
  Gerrard came in second with 18%, Rooney had 16%, Owen 12% and Beckham 10%.
  
  Lampard - who was runner-up in both the European and World Footballer of the Year awards - wins the title for the second successive season.

  Gerrard is the number one for me.
  
  A dynamic player who lifts the team with goals and desire to win and very much bleed for the jersey.
  
  Lampard, very much the box to box player. His consistent showings on the pitch and superb late-run-ins-and-score kinda goals caught many fan's attention.

  lampard is over-rated.
  
  he can score but besides that i dont know what he is good at. in fact he is one of the most over-rated midfielder, hardly creating any chances.
