From KopTalk : Spanish football expert Guillem Balague - a close friend of Rafael Benitez - believes Spanish ace Raul could be made available for transfer in the summer.
The Real Madrid hitman's future is currently up for discussion and Balague wonders if Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez may be interested in signing the 28-year-old.
Balague said: "What is certain is that we may have reached a point in his career where he is so burned out by off-the-field disputes, by being in the same place for so long - more than 10 years - that he may need a new challenge.
"Indications from the Bernabeu suggest that the new president may be wondering if keeping Raul, with his €6.7m wages, is such a good idea.
"Would Liverpool welcome him?" -

Raul's form dipped for the past 2 seasons.
Nevertheless, he is a the type of link-man.. like a forward than a striker. Not pacy but very intelligent player. He has been vocal on his teamates for not giving all in the field but tts bcos he's passionate abt the Club in general.
However, I do not think he's the type of player Benitez wans if he needs a player who can score 20 goals a season kind.

I don't understand why Raul Is been condemn but just to state 1 fact here that he the all-time top champions league scorer and top scorer for spain and I think he really a great player doing simple trick and excellent shooting and captain for real madrid and it would be a great addition to LFC but yet LFC fans condemn him.......I don't understand

I thought cisse was touted to be one of the most exciting prospects previously? so what if he really is? he can't survive in EPL = LFC dosen't have any need for such players.
Moro was also a RM top player right? look what happened when he came to EPL? nothing from him except glimpses of touches occasionally.
well bottom line is, if you can't make it in EPL, LFC has no need for you. -

Raul has past his prime , now injuries has dampened his hope of pursuing another career peak , although 29 , he started early , his legs must be too tired .
Even if he joins Liverpool for free , he not likely to make it into EPL's physical level .
Raul is not indispensable at Real Madrid ,the new president will kick him out .
If he's that good , Real Madrid will not sell him or gave him away . -

the problem wif Raul... he is too ego and power hunger. the reason why RM performed badly is due to players power in the squad. just look at how many coaches left u will know there is something not right for the team. if a capt like raul set bad example, soon the team will follow his example... n i feel that there is no way players are bigger than manager but raul has crossed the line.
