Cisse on way to Spurs, says agent
Djibril Cisse has been tipped for a summer move to Tottenham by the agent who negotiated his transfer from Auxerre to Liverpool.
The 24-year-old French striker has scored in his last two games for Liverpool - last night's 7-0 win at Birmingham in the FA Cup and Sunday's 3-1 Premiership win at Newcastle.
But that will not be enough to save his Anfield career according to Serb agent Ranko Stojic, who expects Liverpool to take an £6million loss on a player they paid £14million for nearly two years ago.
'Tottenham should be in touch again this summer and Djibril is very interested,' Stojic told The Sun.
'Spurs are a club on the way up which can offer him more time on the pitch.
'A departure is very probable but Djibril has a very good relationship with the Liverpool fans.
'He gets on well with everyone and does not want to put everything in question by asking to leave now.
'The situation will sort itself out at the end of the season and I do not think the club will oppose his leaving if they can get £8million. Liverpool will need to sell in order to buy this summer.
'We know Tottenham are very interested. They got in touch with us on January 31 at 3pm. That was only a few hours before the market closed and we did not want to do business.' -

Dun think Spurs need more strikers.
They already have some quality strikers in their team, unless they want to sell Mido or Keane away. -

its not about good or bad. defoe does not figure in his plans because he is too short. same for keane.

Owen not a big guy , Andy Johnson not a big guy too , i remember Liverpool's Paul Walsh is a small guy too . Milan Baros not a big guy too , Garcia not a big guy .
Size doesn't matter too much , it's the brain that makes the difference . -
its up to the tactics of the gaffer.. if he plays the high ball, then big man is what he need..

Cisse has shown himself to be either selfish as heck or just downright moronic...
i'd offload him -
spurs usually attack from the flanks. keane and defoe cant play together in attack because both are too short to attack high balls. mido is preferred because of his size and aerial power. spurs missed him terribly when he was away on national duties during the african nations cup.
that is the reason why jol wants to offload him. -
but spurs dun have real wingers leh..besides aaron lennon i can't think of anymore..heck they even play davids on the left at times..

Tottenham boss rules out Liverpool's Cisse

Tottenham boss Martin Jol has ruled out a move for Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse in the summer.
Cisse's agent insisted earlier this week that Spurs had contacted him with a view to signing his client on the last day of the winter transfer window.
But Jol dismissed his claims and added there was no truth in speculation linking Spurs with Manchester United's unsettled Dutch striker Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Jol did admit that Cisse may have been on his list of targets but contact with the Merseysiders or his agent was never made.
"There is no truth in either," said Jol.
"I can be honest about it. Everybody knows we were looking to get someone in on loan last January.
"Of course all the names were there, we have lists. Somebody will have mentioned him. But nothing come of all the other players on the list and I made a decision we would be fine with Mido, Robbie Keane and Jermain Defoe. It has turned out to be fine.
"But as for Cisse for next season - there is no truth in it." -
