Spanish businessman keen on Liverpool .

Spanish businessman Juan Villalonga - the latest person to be linked with potential investment into the club - believes he can quadruple Liverpool's income if he's onboard.
The London-based controversial character is reportedly prepared to buy a stake in the club for £42million but there's no mention of any additional funding at this time although there are claims that he would be prepared to inject "massive cash".
Villalonga has employed Rothschilds to negotiate with Price Waterhouse Coopers who are acting on behalf of LFC who have refused to comment.
There are many question marks over his head though about his business activities with accusations of insider trading when he was president of Telefonica which eventually saw him resign from his position.
It is also unclear as to where where the money would come from, be it out of his own pocket or from the pockets of a consortium.
He has business interests around the world including his own construction business which builds low-cost housing in Eastern Europe and Latin America. He's also president of London-based internet telecom giant Telnic.
Liverpool have been looking for a minor investment like this one (in simple terms) rather than a total take-over/buy out which is what L4 were proposing. -
Another Construction businessman eyeing a stake at Liverpool FC , in fact , he's more likely eyeing the construction deal of the new Anfield . Like Steve Morgan . A disgrace !

most "businessmen" who buy into a club end up wrecking the club...
MUFC, lived by it and are slowly dying by it.. i think next year, a season ticket would cost about GBP250 more on average.. that's a lot of money to be a supporter..
they put MUFC PLC on the market and got a wad of moolah for it, which they did well by spending it well... the result was a strong squad, mucho moolah in merchandising.. and more...
however, it made them vulnerable to people coming in and buying out the club.. which happened...
i hope none of the clubs end up this way, or be taken over wholesale like Chelsea and Pompey have been... it could spell the end of watchable football and the start of the era where the results mean everything even if it meant alienating the fans and betraying the very essence of being a "football club" -
It might start a new era for liverpool.

1) They tend to over pay for their investments by many times;
2) People running the club may not be the best people for the job but they are there because they are scholars with very nice paper qualifications;
3) Players that they buy, when non performing on the pitch, will just be rotated to another position ie. from defender to striker;
4) Buying a dud player will be deemed as paying "tutition fees". -

Spanish tycoon Villalonga circles Liverpool
Spanish multi-millionaire Juan Villalonga has big plans for the future of Liverpool as a 'global force'.
The Reds have already acquired a significant Spanish influence on and off the pitch, with manager Rafael Benitez directing the likes of star players Xabi Alonso and Luis Garcia.
But latest reports suggest the possibility of a major financial stake-holding from Spain too, in the shape of a consortium fronted by telecommunications entrepreneur Villalonga.
To do so, he will need to formulate a plan of action agreeable to Anfield chairman David Moores.
But it appears Villalonga has already been thinking long term when it comes to the Reds.
'I want Liverpool to change from a domestically focused club into a global force,' he has told the Daily Express. -

Not to say I will like it, but if they're willing to pour money to make the club grow, I'll definitely like it. But wait long long.
Singaporeans typically want the most profits with the least amount of investment and effort. Don't think Temasek would be any different.
