Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has been nominated for the PFA Footballer of the Year Award.
Gerrard has scored 19 goals so far for Liverpool this season and has had another fine campaign at Anfield being an inspiration to Liverpool.
The PFA's 33rd annual awards dinner will be held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, on Sunday, April 23.
Also nominated for the award are Chelsea trio John Terry, Frank Lampard and Joe Cole plus Arsenal captain Thierry Henry and Manchester United's Wayne Rooney.
Commenting on the merits of Gerrard, PFA Chief Gordon Taylor said: "He's a bit special isn't he?
"Last year's Champions League Final has to go down as one of the greatest games of all time and a combination of Steven's leadership skills and Jamie Carragher's defensive qualities, set up an unlikely Liverpool win, the likes of which I never thought I would see against AC Milan.
"At half time everybody, me included, was hoping for damage limitation but what impressed everybody was not just the spirit of Liverpool team, but the way Steven led from the front."

Frank Lampard - Quiet. Not as influential as last season. Not my choice.
Joe Cole - Not even a first XI at Chelski. Nuff said.
Thierry Henry - Might be him if Arsenal wins ECL.
Wayne Rooney - Young, talented, gambling brat. A role model for kids? Nah.
and finally
Stevie G - Oh please, please, let him get it this season. Look at how many games he played this season? Look at his awestruck performances for the team. He's the man in my books!
