No Englishmen is as versatile like him, and the thing is , he excel in all department .
Do you know , he was once a makeshift striker in his early days under Roy Evans ? When he about 19 ? -
well he did get a mention by former England great jack charlton..
its kinda fustrating to see him not get the credit he truly deserved.. -
He can always chose to be on the limelight , but then , we can see Carragher prefers to stay low .....

hopefully he really did enough to earn a starting line up during WC.. he deserved it so much more than rio ferdinand.. -
I remember watching Carragher score on his Liverpool debut against Aston Villa.
He debuted in central midfield and scored a scorcher from outside the penalty area..
Today, he's perhaps the most versatile and consistent defender in England. He can play well anywhere across the back 4 and expect nothing less than 110% from Carra everytime he plays.
He's really improved a lot over the past 2-3 seasons and for the sake of English football and Liverpool Football Club, let's hope Carra has'nt reached his peak yet.

i believe he still have a few good years in him.. mayb he will start poping in a few goals like terry.. but i like the way he is now.. solid n no nonsense.. dun hold on to the ball longer than requried..
hope by being named in the team of the year will give him a big push into the WC starting 11.. if his fellow professional think he is good enough, i dun see y Sven should see it differently... -
