What can we say ?
What they did in both the Quarter Finals and Semi Finals was just amazing .
Against Basel , they were aggregate 1-0 down , and fought back to win .
Against St .Bucharest , first half 2-1 , aggregate 3-1 , needs to score 3 goals to win 4-3 , and they did , just magnificent !
Unfortunately there is no Boro fans here to celebrate with us .
Good luck for their Final .
Boro and Arsenal brought pride to English football , just like Liverpool last season . Oops ! Not again , praising our own team again .

And both winning goals happened to be in the 88th minute , and the hero , Massimo Macaroni !

i saw the match!!
it was amazing man...when they were 2-0 down...you could see the dejection on their face...
then mc claren made a masterful and daring stroke to bring off the captain and bring in maccarone...who brought one back before the break...
1-2 on the night...1-3 on aggregate...at half time...during half-time...the PA system even announce to the boro fans that since they came back against basel in the semi-finals and they could do it again...and the fans started to believe...
boro came out flying and pin back bucharest for much of the match...bucharest hardlt had a good sniff at goal...
then viduka got one back with a looping headed goal at the hour mark from a steward downing cross...and boro started to believe again...
then riggot redeemed himself with the FA cup last minute miss with a crucial equaliser in the penalty box...this after steward downing's low cross/cum shot...
and this was the most heart stopping period of the season for boro fans...they search for a final goal to seal the spot in the final of the UEFA cup...and it came in the 89th min...
with just a minute remain...downing again sent a cross in the penalty area and it miss everyone until maccarone rose up and headed the ball in and the riverside went into ruptures...
they held on...and got their deserved spot in the final...

btw...their opponents will be FC sevilla of spain after that beat schelka 04 of germany...
the match went into extra time after 2 goal-less legs...
the match was littered with yellow cards and no surprise that free flowing football was scarce...
sevilla eventually got the winning goal in extra time 101st min by sevila's puerta with a left foot finish... -
they really did a good job... praises for mclaren for his euro work and the focus... now they should finish it off for the hardwork with a UEFA Cup Win... Mc will get higher chances to get the England job for these victory... but if they win then will there be less uefa cup spot for league placed like UCL?

I did not catch the match but it does seem like one heck of a match.
It will be a massive achievement if Boro can win the UEFA cup. -
