currently England has injuries fatigue n both its first team players are injured (owen n rooney), n it has been a concern for the England team.
but i feel dat why not try lone striker Peter Crouch? who know wat Crouch can do in the tournament. i forseen Crouch still have hidden potential within him n he can surprise all of us if he is used right.

Peter Crouch is slow and clumsy...............I don't think that England should play him.............instead I prefer owen and darren bent just play through pass along the ground............both this player are very fast and quick....

Only 2 person injured and their World Cup hopes are pretty much gone. -
Call Ashton and Marlon Harewood up they are good players and owen is fitness and injury clear ready for england call-up

4-5-1 is the best formation without Rooney and Owen .
5 scoring midfielders and a supporting striker , this striker's job is not scoring , it's to get full control for the midfielders .
In fact , Liverpool has been quite successful with this formation with Crouch upfront , just ask Real Betis and Anderlecht , this 2 European clubs hates Crouch , one member of Real Betis was apparently complaint , why Liverpool is playing with a basketball player ?
Crouch is good for England , and maybe Defoe , if Owen not playing .
Please no Bent , whether is Marcus Bent or Darren Bent , this 2 can't be a sub for Owen .

maybe pushing gerrard up will be a good idea.. we all can see wot he did for liverpool when given the freedom.. should owen is not fit enough, i tink defoe n crouch can play.. lets all forget abt rooney.. sad to say but he's not gonna make it...

With his height he can trouble any defense and disrupt other team's midfield, forcing them to come deep for the second ball when Crouch wins a header. -
The problem with Peter Crouch is that despite his height, he doesn't win too many headers.
Often or not, he got nudged away by defenders while jumping for the ball, thus missing it far too many times.
But he just might succeed on a world level, where some countries are not adapt to defending that way. -

i wonder y defoe's not a auto 3rd choice SC ...when he plays,he shows a lot of promise,he's pacy,strong although he's quite short,n hits a powerful shot.....he oso got that bit of flair that owen nowadays lacks...crouch?only can be used as a last plan,super sub kind.

crouch may be whiny from the start but when he evolute, he can be on fire n unstoppable.
many stars mentioned rooney is worth to watch for tis world cup but i think he's overhype. as for owen... he dun deserve a place since he never play most games to prove he's worth for, unfair to others who deserve to be in the squad. -
i feel that the 4 strikers to be on the plane to Germany would be Rooney and Owen (if they recover), defoe and darren bent. Fifth striker would be Crouch.
England should play this formation.

gerard/carrick
becks/swp---- -----j. cole/lennon
lampard/gerard
rooney/bent--------------owen/defoe
other alt: defoe should be 3rd choice. crouch should be forth. must bring carrick and lennon. king and terry as cover for central defence. Campbell must be dropped! bridge as back-up to ashley cole. can oso bring in wayne routledge as back up to becks/swp or bring lennon to the natural right position. cover for g.neville may be luke young or glen johnson. hargreaves should be in too to cover anywhere across the midfield.
And david james should be dropped. bring in robert green!
