Rafa's £12million bid for striker

Newspaper reports today claim that Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez will table a £12million bid for Charlton striker Darren Bent whether we win the FA Cup final or not.
It is reported that the Reds will swoop once the Cup Final is out of the way.
Bent scored 22 times in all competitions this season and with Rafa in the market for strikers, it's not difficult to work out why the player would be under consideration.
Whether or not a bid will be forthcoming, we'll have to wait and see. -

even though he did well this season but it is still too early to tell.
hopefully he is not a one-season player.

Seriously, the transfer fees for English players are way inflated. While Darren Bent has shown he can scores but the price tag can buy 2-3 excellent European youngsters for the future....with spare change.

liverpool should go for strikers with a proven scoring record.
one season only is too risky.
bent is totally unheard of before the 2005/06 season. -

Maybe Bent has height advantage compare to Defoe ? Or younger ? or faster ?
Maybe he wanted to buy before the World Cup or else his price inflated if he does have a good World Cup campaign , is he in the WC 23's ? -

Lfc gamble on bent?
Even though Bent has been a really good striker for us banging in goals,, but I'm not sure if he's a player that LFC should sign and aim for. Certainly, Bent's not world class or european class.

who knows he will be a one season wonder. -
yar the best striker for rafa to sign and is available would be RVN..20 goals a season no problem, and fowler will give u another 12 goals at least if he plays more often..
