Something wrong with the coach?
Buying all the "old man" - Ballack, Shevenko, and rumours Roberto Carlos from other clubs and yet paying so much money(although $$ not an issue) .
No doubt they are experience but he sure these old mans physically can handle so many matches considering EPL, FA cup, CL etc etc ?

They are trying to buy proven players that can help them win the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE...irregardless of age..
Shevchenko, Ballack and maybe Roberto Carlos...are all proven at Champion's League level...
Not to mention the young Ivorian who just joined..He's had a good season too.. -

Why does Chelsea keeps spending 35mil on a player they can easily buy for 15mil?

Chelsea got to up the fees in order to ply him away from AC Milan ma. In the long run, he's worth every penny when he starts scoring for Chelsea in EPL and show his class esp in Champions League. Power, Creative, Accurate and great Technique all rolled into one.
