From the youtube, the shin portion of the leg seem to be broken.
It will take some time for him to recover.
I guess he will not even make it to the opening 10 matches of EPL.
He will be in time to collect the EPL title, League Cup title, FA Cup Final medal and the Uefa Cup Final Medal next season.
He is so unfortunate to suffer such a PAINFUL injury.
I pray for his fast recovery. -
sad..benitez has admitted that he will have no problems working with cisse again once he's back, but he sort of disrupted their transfer activity.

While there were fears in the immediate aftermath of the horrific-looking injury that Cisse may not play again this year, Liverpool Club Doctor Mark Waller tonight stressed that the staff at Melwood expect to see Djibril back at the training ground in a matter of months.
Waller, who was in constant contact with the medical team dealing with the player in France both during the early hours of Thursday morning and also throughout the whole of today, told liverpoolfc.tv: "The latest news we've had is extremely positive. He's had the operation done and everything has gone in a very straightforward fashion.
"The fracture has been repaired with some metalwork in his leg in a similar way to what he had when he broke the other leg in 2004. This fracture is not as severe as the previous one.
"The last time he broke his leg, it took him just 164 days to recover completely - which was just over five months - but this time we're expecting him to recover even quicker. When we talk about him being back, we mean back playing first team football.
"He'll be flying back to England on Monday and we would expect to see him back training at Melwood in around four months. His recovery last time was so quick because Djibril himself remained positive and worked really hard and obviously he had appropriate management throughout the recovery process.
"Knowing Djibril, he'll show the same willingness to fight back from this new injury and I wouldn't be surprised to seeing him playing as early as November." -
It's a hugh blow to both player and club...
No club would buy him now and we are stuck with him and unable to see more new players...

After seeing the seriousness of the injury through the sg forum's photo, nobody in his sane mind would want to buy him for the next two seasons.
Now, he got two broken legs.

Would you want to buy him and risk him being injured ?
If I am him, I may have turned chicken so that no one can come near me for a tackle.

Just hope for the best that when he comes back from injury...he will prove to us that he can make it as a Liverpool player just like kewell is beginning to show in this past season.... I like Cisse as a player really though I must admit he really did not play up to his potential in a RED shirt. He plays real well for Auxerre and he is lethal for France but just could not understand his failure to excel in a RED shirt..... well its a terrible injury to have and whether he deserves to be in a RED shirt or not, that is not as important as wishing him a good recovery...... seeing a leg twisted that way, the transfer activities just are not so important for the time being... its really cruel to wish and lament that Cisse disrupts our transfer plans and blame him for it.....no players in a RED shirt deserves that.

How come people can actually recover from this kinda horrific injury?
I remember about 10-12 years ago in a MU match,got a guy kena this kinda injury also...I remember Schmeichel turning away in disgust and some players actually needed to be counselled coz they saw what happened.
That guy had to retire eventually....Wow this Cisse can actually recover from 2 brokem legs... -

U dun have to look far...last season Alan Smith had a horrific injury too....all the players turned away in disgust....really in such times....football remains last in my mind....I hate MAN U but seeing Alan Smith hurt in that manner is just painful..... -
