Liverpool midfielder Didi Hamann is to be sued by Bolton Wanderers if he refuses to complete a proposed transfer to The Reebok, claim newspaper reports today.Adapted from LiverpoolZone.com
It is reported that the former German international is trying to back out of a deal to join Bolton after allegedly signing a legal document confirming his intention to quit Liverpool to sign for Sam Allardyce.
However, it is claimed that the player's wife is unhappy with the idea of him signing for Bolton so he's said to have backed out of a move.
Reports claim that Bolton will try to sue Didi for as much as £3million (to buy out his contract with them) if he stands his ground and ignores Bolton's demands.
It sounds like a load of nonsense to us but we're just passing it on for those of you who are unaware of these reports.
Meanwhile Manchester City are said to be stepping up their attempts to sign the midfielder with speculation suggesting the player's agent is to meet them again this week.
Didi doesn't want to leave Anfield but he knows his opportunities will be limited from next season and at this stage of his career, he wants to be playing as often as he can.
We'll be sad to see him go whatever pans out.
