SGE's insistence to bring in two unfit strikers. Owen was out injured and badly after two games. Rooney was sent off at the last match. Walcott warmed the bench nicely.

Don't understand , why bring in Walcott and not use him to exploit the tired legs of the Portugese defense just now ?
I thought we can see an Owen in Walcott , take the defenders one by one and slot the ball in ?

Scolari won it in tactics. Why did Scolari bring in Simao & Viana for Pauletta & Tiago? To open up play, change formation with 2 wide wingers & a ghost striker in Figo in the middle. When Figo was tired, Scolari realised it and brought on Postiga. All his subs are with purpose.
