Actually for many many years I always wondered why Liverpool never bought any South America players?
I remember back when we had problems filling the left side of midfield. I was hoping we could get Leonardo the Brazilian. Instead we bought Patrik Berger!
And then of course left back was a big problem for many years before Riise came. And Roberto Carlos was on everyone's wish list.
For the record has there ever been any South American players play for Liverpool BESIDES Mauricio Pellegrino?
Now all of a sudden we have a Chilean (Gonzales), and Argentinian (Paletta), and a Brazilian (Aurelio)!
I think Alves deal is off. -
Interesting though, how come Aurelio and Paletta have no work permit problems?

Hmm.. I think wad they need is a replacement for the ageing Hyypia.

Hyypia's replacement in fact has been at Liverpool since Jan! His name is Daniel Agger.
Gabriel Paletta is Carragher's understudy.

"When you talk about the Argentinian defenders I worked with in Valencia, Paletta is more like Ayala than Pellegrino. If you're talking about Liverpool, he's more like Carra than Sami Hyypia. This is good because we will have a balance in the style of defenders.

The understudy didn't have much play time.
I'm jus afraid that he'll leave at the end of next season if it continues like this.

Again , no point in getting players , and pay them wages , and put them in reserves .
It happened last season , we have so many players , and yet players like Gerrard and Carragher has to play 100 games between them .
Hope Ah Ben buy them , and try them out games like against Reading and Watford , no disrespect to Reading and Watford , which team is best to try them out ? Man Utd ? Chelsea or Gunners ?
