Chelsea winger Damien Duff is to undergo a medical with Newcastle ahead of a proposed transfer.
Liverpool reportedly made a late approach for the player but that could be denied when the chief executive Rick Parry next speaks.
What was strange about our sudden link today was the way it was leaked to the media. It just didn't sound like our style. If you don't understand what we mean by this, just forget it, maybe we need to get out a bit more.

THE Board of Newcastle United PLC are pleased to announce that contracts have been exchanged with Chelsea Football Club for the transfer of Damien Duff.
The player, having agreed terms, is currently undergoing a medical. -
So ... to all Duffy's fans , no Duff for Liverpool , still .
