Crouch still needs to prove his worth

He will forever be on the end of flak for his ostensible clumsiness and less than perfect looks. Not every footballer can have the physical looks of a Beckham or that Kalvin Klein underwear model, Ljunberg.
He will, however, hold my respect as a Liverpool player.
He is not selfish. He gives his all. He's the everyman turned footballing professional. That is all I would ever ask of him as a fan. He is what most of us would look and act like if were to suddenly be plunged into playing professional football. Individuals like him and Carragher are a breath of fresh air from the ego-tripping superstars of Chelsea and Manchester United. I will not trade him for a Shevchenko or a Van Nisterooy. -
