Go for a Liverpool win...since it's going to be played at Anfield....
Whoever plays, youngsters or not will be keen to get a good result...even in a Carling Cup tie...
ghimpheng
not looking good for LFC.........Reading play really good football and i expect them to take the game to Liverpool if they wish to qualify for UEFA Cup by winning carling cup
Poolman
We never get serious with Carling Cup , but i would bet Reading would go all out for a place in the next round , $$$$ factor , gate $$$ factor .

Benitez ready to hand El Zhar Liverpool debut tribalfooball.com - October 17, 2006
Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez says new signing Nabil El Zhar could be given his senior debut in the Carling Cup. On the Moroccan forward who's just completed his move to Anfield from St Etienne, the Reds boss says: "Nabil El Zhar has done well since he joined the club.
"As with any young player, it's up to him how far he progresses. I'm sure if he continues to work hard and do all the right things, he will get an opportunity in the first team.
"He could be considered for the Carling Cup, but we will have to wait and see. That will depend on the situation at the time, and whether we need to consider injuries or other factors. We know he has the ability to play for the first team in the future."
Gaby Paletta might also get a run too in the carling cup this show that LFC not really concern about this tournament all top clubs are not concerned about this cup actually putting mostly reverse players
