There's not even an "if" in LFC's case , Rafael Benitez is still the best manager around . Most LFC fans wouldn't trade him for anyone else .

Lippi is SAF's good friend and it was rumoured he might take over him. If he goes to Liverpool.. it would be fun to watch the compeitition.

Xabi Alonso believes the doom and gloom engulfing Liverpool has already all but scuppered their hopes of competing for the Premiership title.
Another below par performance from The Reds in a goalless draw at Middlesbrough on Saturday evening means the team trail leaders Manchester United by 16 points after just 13 matches.
A run of just two points from 21 available away from home has left their title hopes hanging by a thread.
Alonso admits he would be able to see a light at the end of the tunnel, were it not for the negativity pervading the Anfield dressing room.
"The fight for the title is getting more and more difficult for us," said Alonso.
"Not just because of the points difference but because of the atmosphere I see at the club.
"I see pessimism and in that respect it is going to be very hard to come back.
"We can't put three straight wins together and are unable to transmit the spirit of Europe to league games.
"I don't know if it is something psychological but we are very annoyed." -

yeah.. the game, you see a defeated team with no spirit..
they had all the possession but totally lacked the drive to go and win the game... there is this air of inevitability that they will not score away from home in that game..
Gerrard singlehandedly dragged the team out of that in the past and dragged it to a UCL trophy... but there is only so much one person can do until he drops from the strain...
RB's insistence on playing him out of his most effective position is puzzling too.. sadly, the injury of Momo Sisoko came too late for Gerrard to go back to his position to make an impact... the die seems cast and this may be one sad and fruitless season for LFC.. -

Benitez is good, but maybe his tactics not so suitable for epl. Getting a coach like Lippi probaly won't solve anything, because i believe that they have identical styles, and that is to not concede anything as the main priority.

Two factors - Manager and Players.
Even if you get a new manager, miracle would not happened except for Martin O'Neil of Aston Villa.
I rather Ah Ben forget about his spanish pride and tinkering and zonal defence and play Liverpool as the best 11 all the way.
Switching Ah Gon left to right, right to left will serve to fustrate the Liverpool players.
He must recognise that space is not a commodity in EPL.
Only when we start winning in the basic simple 4-4-2 system, then the team spirit and strength of Liverpool will be back.
The facts is still the players that we bought this season are placed at the wrong position or have become buddy with Keng-well. -

No Dutch coach and Itallian Coach honestly dare take up the British challenge actually .
They likely doom to failure , the language barrier already an obstacle for them , culture ? Football culture ? Food ? Lifestyle ? Family ?
Trust me , if Rafael Benitez one day .... are to leave Liverpool , it will not to Real Madrid , but to Barcelona , which for Benitez , is the next best club after Liverpool . -

so far only wenger (french) and mourihno (portugese) were successful foreign managers.
