DIC wants Beckham for Liverpool

Liverpool's prospective owners are eyeing a shock move for David Beckham, according to a report.
The Sunday People claims Dubai International Capital (DIC) are close to completing their takeover of the club and are angered by suggestions that they will use the club as a short-term, money making exercise.
The new owners, led by Sheikh Maktoum, see a move for ex-Manchester United midfielder Beckham as the perfect way to reassure Reds supporters.
Beckham is out of contract at the end of the season and looks certain to leave Real Madrid where he has found himself a fringe player this season under new boss Fabio Capello.
It is claimed he already has offers on the table from Los Angeles Galaxy and New York Red Bulls as well as reported interest from clubs in Serie A.
The report suggests that Rafa Benitez sees Beckham as the solution to his problems on the right of midfield, with Jermaine Pennant having failed to impress since his summer move from Birmingham.
However, Liverpool are not one of the 15 clubs which the News of the World suggest have made contact with his agent.
Despite not featuring often at the Bernabeu, Madrid president Ramon Calderon said: "After the conversations we have had in recent months, David Beckham already has our offer for a new contract on the table. Now he has to decide.
"All of us would like to see him continue at our club and extend his contract."

It is more obvious that we have not settle the right sided area despite Gerrard deputizing occasionally with positive effect.
Despite the fact that he is not that pacy for a winger but his range of passing and accuracy is still very much cultured and revered. Makes up for his pace on the ball by spraying deep balls accurately to the front men.
I dunno abt u all but I hv seen both Kuyt and Bellamy working too hard sometimes and din get much sniff at goals cos the wingers are not supplying much ammo. Beckhams's much revered right crosses will provide much relief and services to them.
But, are there other alternatives? -

Becks is a true blue Man Utd fan , do u expect any current & Ex-Devil Reds to join the Real Reds ?
It will be an insult to Liverpool !
Becks doesn't need money , in fact , he's rich enuf to buy any football club , so not likely he'll join us for $$$ .
He won't be so stupid to join Liverpool to tarnish his "images" , i see him more in a Man Utd jersey than a Liverpool jersey .

i dun think beckham will come to liverpool, suppose if he come, it will be pleasure to watch him pwning his former club.

Whoa...if Becks does move to Liverpool (unlikely though)..he`ll be the 2nd player in almost a decade to play for both Man U n Liverpool..Paul Ince being the 1st of coz hahaha..so anything can happen..: P

And who could ever forget that match with Man U at Anfield during the 98-99 season? On a pure footballing and commercial level, Beckham still has loads to offer and not as if he has certain club's blood in him all over. I can't be bother so long that player works hard for the team.

Those Arabs businessman is businessman afterall , they won't throw away un-necessary money . Which businessman never do business calculation ?
To invest in LFC, there must be some profits to generate , question is how much they want .

Becks ain't really that bad a player, with his perfectly timed crosses, curling freekicks.
But what pool now need isn't someone of his style of play.
