Benitez plans how to spend

Rafa Benitez admits that he may now be able to bring in a different type of player to Anfield following the club's takeover.
A historic week in Liverpool's history has seen the Merseyside giants taken over by new co-chairmen George Gillett and Tom Hicks and the American tycoons are ready to show their considerable hand in the transfer market.
In the past Benitez has had to be relatively frugal in comparison to some of the Premiership's biggest hitters but this could be about to change in what is sure to be an intriguing period for everyone involved at Liverpool.
While Benitez insists he has no intention of squandering cash needlessly, he does accept that the spending power at his disposal could make things easier in a competitive market.
"It has been a very important week and something that will change everything," conceded Benitez.
"We talked about the future of the club, not money or this player or that player. We talked about who we had in the squad and ideas for the future.
"They were nice people and good businessmen. That is a good mix, they can then do the right things for the club in terms of money and how we grow.
"It could be a problem of inflated fees now, but I am happy with my scouting department and we are doing a good job now without any big money.
"We have enough money to do business now and if we have more in the future it could be easier. If we have two players we like and one is more expensive, maybe now we can consider signing him.
"We are doing the right things now and maybe we will not need to spend big money in the summer." -
The bad thing about having money is that other clubs would want an even more exorbitant price for their players, worse than the current situation.
That's why we cannot land Simao Sabrosa, Dani Alves and have to settle for Mark Gonzalez and Jermaine Pennant.

Simao Sabrosa and Dani Alves are way too expensive than Mark Gonzalaz and Pennant.. Expensive players are not guarantee for value.
Just look at the Blues.

Developing his youth squad for the senior squad. -
when they know you're rich, you will be held to ransom.. pay like 1.5x more then what he will normally cost.

Past managers like Roy Evans, Houllier have cultivate and blood people like Fowler, Owen, McManamann, Carragher, Gerrard etc. We haven't seen any youngsters from Rafa coming up into the first team yet.
Maybe the youngsters are not good enough. Maybe Rafa's standard is too high. But still, I hope to see the next best thing coming from Rafa soon.
It's just like playing FM. You feel more shiok when the young player you brought in and trained becomes a superstar.

Valencia star David Villa admits he's a regular at Liverpool - but insists he has no plans of joining the Reds' American revolution.
Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez plans to use the cash of new co-owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett to prise Villa away from Los Che and the striker says: "Pepe Reina and I are good friends from our time together with Spain U21.
"I often go to England to see him and he comes here. But I am happy in Spain. My people, my language. It seems funny to say in 2007, but I don't have an ambition to play abroad."
Asked about Real Madrid's interest, Villa scoffed: "It seems they want to sign everyone! They have some champions, but they're going through a bad time." -
