it's not difficult to figure out what priorities we have , and Gerrard had said we have NO CHANCE for the title , so that's more or less summed up our game plan , but who knows , it's just another psychology war-fare going on .

George Gillett and Tom Hicks are expected on Merseyside this week for Liverpool's matches against Manchester United and Barcelona.
There are also plans for Gillett to engage in a dialogue with supporters' groups.
"It wouldn't surprise me if George took himself to The Albert for a drink with the fans," said Reds chief Rick Parry.
"That's the kind of thing he's done in Montreal. He will speak to the fans. He's a people person with a thirst for knowledge and he's a very good listener.
"The reason George and Tom have kept away from games so far is out of respect for the shareholders.
"They don't want to appear presumptuous because they recognise it's big decision being taken and shareholders should be given the time and space to make it."
Owners Attending Benitez Should Put Up a 1st Team Line-Up -
Pool are at the top of their game especially at home... They have only let in i think 3 goals all season at Anfield... But somehow or rather, united always seem to do well against Pool but not so against the gunners.
Anyway, it has been 5 long yrs since pool beaten united at Anfield in the Premiership... Hope this good record continues and united do manage to get at least a point from this as Anfield has become a very difficult place for away teams to get points.
They have played 14, won 11 / draw 3 / lose 0 / scored 29 / and let in 3 only so far.
The last time Pool beat United at Anfield in the Premiership was a 3-1 win in November 2001. Lets hope this record will last beyond sat...

This match come at the wrong time of the season leh .....
We fans just have to chose , a win over MU and still lost the title and lost the UCL game to Barcelona , or a win over Barcelona and a chance for a last piece of silver ware .... i obviously will chose the latter . More logical choice .
I have to understand it's impossible to expect the same 11's to be playing at their best , at that same level , against 2 Giants in the space of 3 days ....
I expect a stalement of both games , vs MU and vs Barcelona . -
With the Barca tie just days away from this, you just wonder if Rafa will be dropping this game and resting a few of his key players.
But having said that, I think the players have had more than enough rest over the past week. Most of the players that played at the Nou Camp were rested in the game against Sheffield United. They would have had at least 7 days break so I'm really expecting them to come straight back into the team for 2 games in 4 days, which is not that demanding considering the rest they've had.
The only players that played in Barca and against Sheffield were Risse, Gerrard, Carragher and Finnan. I don't think Rafa can afford to rest any of them.
So, there you go, we can expect a full strength team up against United. Forget abt Barca for now, Liverpool vs ManU is the game of the season.
I'm expecting Pool to halt the run of Man U wins. -
very jialat n tight situation for pool.
to give up tis match for ucl match is like throwing ur dignity to lose to ur rival. but to get into brave match will result for fatigue to ur squad resulting ur coming important match wif barca.
i feel liverpool may either lose or draw in this match but i hope they will win for the sake of epl. -
I would hope Pool to play their first team cos these players will also have their minds on tue's date with Barce. Therefore wouldn't want to risk getting injure or over-exhausted.
Playing their other players may be a double edged knife cos those player will know that they won't be taking part in the Barce match so will go all out and who knows, if they do well... may even get a role in the Barce match as well...
For man u, this would be one of the most important match cos if they can get something from this... The title for this season would very much be going to OT as the season is coming to a close. -

To be fair, Pool really need to be at their full strength against Barce now that Eto is back and seems on form too. Pool going thru in the CL is still not a foregone conclusion even tho they may have a very good 2 - 1 lead... For Barce to win Pool by 2 goals or even a 3-2 score is still very possible given the attacking players they have.
Going through to the next stage of the CL will also give them a few more millions extra and a chance to win the only title left to them whereas winning against man u will still give them a no higher than a 3rd or 4th place finish which they have already made theirs. So Pool really got nothing much to gain by going all out to win apart from giving chelsea a chance as i guess nobody seriously belief Pool will be able to over-take the blues with about 10 games left to go.
So ah ben should put his eggs in the Barce basket and make sure they get thru and not waste them on what i would call a meaningless match from Liverpool's point of view...

Ah Ben seems to be quite neutral about the Reds vs Reds rivalry.
He is always the 'big picture' manager.
He dun even bother to pick up any quarrel with Alex before the match.
Only one manager that Ah Ben really HATE is Jose. (one that dun shake hands or hug)
Alex have to resorted to square off with Jose for the poor press to write something.
The players are also quite mild about the match.
Only Ah Hou is the manager with Liverpool team that slaughter Man Utd.
At least Ah Hou is overjoyed when Liverpool scores a goal.
Ah Ben always so COOL when any scores, I guess the players HATE that. -
Man U can win this tho Pool look onform too, but Chelsea is the one will side Ben to win it to cut 3 pts which I don't wanna to see.

Claude Makelele is convinced Manchester United will surrender the title to Chelsea should they lose at Liverpool tomorrow.
"This Saturday I am a fan of Liverpool. For Chelsea this is the key match in the race with Manchester United for the title," Makelele told the Daily Star.
