So much for a good game.Originally posted by Poolman:Rumour that Benitez planning to drop this game , as in playing with a weakened team , to keep resources for Liverpool vs Barcelona .

dat is the thing pool will be more worrying. man u has nothing to lose whether they field 1st team or 2nd. cos they can afford to lose 3 points in anfield.Originally posted by zocoss:I would hope Pool to play their first team cos these players will also have their minds on tue's date with Barce. Therefore wouldn't want to risk getting injure or over-exhausted.
Playing their other players may be a double edged knife cos those player will know that they won't be taking part in the Barce match so will go all out and who knows, if they do well... may even get a role in the Barce match as well...
For man u, this would be one of the most important match cos if they can get something from this... The title for this season would very much be going to OT as the season is coming to a close.
yeah, it will be a good achievement if these 1st 11 players to overcome manu n barca and beat them.Originally posted by a-Lost-9uY:i tink RB will not want a repeat of those 2 defeats by e Gunners..
n MU is tradition pool biggest rival..
so i believe RB will for sure field his 1st-11 to prolong Pool unbeatable home records in e league..

As his team look to consolidate their nine-point lead at the Premiership summit at Liverpool on Saturday, Sir Alex Ferguson expressed surprise at the referee appointed to take charge of this highly charged encounter.
The replacement at Anfield for injured first-choice Graham Poll is the relatively inexperienced Martin Atkinson.
"We have gone from the most experienced referee to the least experienced," said the United boss. "We need to wait to find out if it will influence the game but it was a big surprise."

Claude Makelele is convinced Manchester United will surrender the title to Chelsea should they lose at Liverpool tomorrow.
"This Saturday I am a fan of Liverpool. For Chelsea this is the key match in the race with Manchester United for the title," Makelele told the Daily Star.
"If United fail at Anfield the league would be open for us.
"I am convinced that Chelsea will win all their matches in the Premiership until the end of the season and this pressure we can apply on Manchester United will be decisive.
"Liverpool are one of the clubs that are able to beat Manchester United. Liverpool are playing now at a great level and this is our hope.
"If United win at Liverpool the situation for Chelsea will be very complicated.
"United are only the leaders because of our errors over Christmas. But we can put that right."
even if manure lose or draw liverpool, can Chelsea win all their remaining matches? this is another big question, dun forget Chelsea has to go thru Arsenal and Manure too.Originally posted by 798:n i can conclude dat should liverpool lose, manure will be EPL champion, they will lead by 12 pts n i dun see any teams can beat them beside Arsenal (they already face off) and Chelsea.
