Man utd were playing a 4 4 2 actually... Had Carragher not injured Rooney, i guess O'Shea wouldn't have taken part in this match at all... As they say, everything happens for a reason... and every action has a reaction... In this case, it just happens that O'shea came on late in a game that he wasn't even suppose to play and scored the winning goal...Originally posted by Medicated Oil:For one moment, I was thinking Man Utd is playing Valencia.
The poor strikers were outnumbered with the 5 men defence of Man Utd.
With Gerrard on the right, there was no center man to move the ball forward.
I hope sissoko is not Ah Ben's pet and he better be rotated with Stevie, then to replace Stevie.
proud ? o come on lost to 10 man man utd and they only have like so few chances in 2nd half and liverpool so many chances yet not put it away and yet proud ?Originally posted by Poolman:Considering the reputation of Ronaldo , and his form this season , many would have thought he wasn't playing last night .... he was kept very quiet , kudos to the Liverpool full-back .
We saw frustration off the United midfielders that caused the Red card , Liverpool midfielders were all over the place , United just has to pull backwards most of the time .
Sissoko was the destroyer last night ..... he played well ma i thought , without Momo , Utd would have roamed the midfield more efficiently , Momo were magnificent in destroying their rhythm going forward .
He is the next best man to be in this position after Didi Hamann .
It's a game , we lost and be very proud of the defeat .
I think what he meant was the individual commitment to the match rather than just the result... Pool played one of their best match this season, I would say they played even better than away to Barce, But than again, in football... you don't always get the result even if you play well.Originally posted by ghimpheng:proud ? o come on lost to 10 man man utd and they only have like so few chances in 2nd half and liverpool so many chances yet not put it away and yet proud ?
