somehow i feel liverpool should keep fowler for the sake of fowler is a long service player. even if he is no longer useful, he should retired as liverpool player.

Rafa Benitez is not known to be a sentimental man in terms of team selection, so as much as most diehard liverpool fans want to see Fowler stay at Anfield, it looks increasing unlikely.
The only way for Fowler to stay on is for him to score as many goals as he can from now till the end of the season. -
vincenzo iaquinta is good. he's big, tall, strong and has decent pace. A good finisher who can also dribble well. If he's able to adapt fast and bang in the goals at a decent rate, 12m is indeed a bargain.

I don't feel good about an Italian in The Premiership , i think it's not easy to adept to the playing system of The EPL .
First they have to adept to the wet , raining condition in England , which they seldom have to endure in Italy .
Second , English games is less technical aware compare to the Italian football , less tactics , more physical in England .
Third , language barrier .
Fourth , referee standard .
Fifth , pace of the English games .

As for Ah Ben, I do agree that he is RUTHLESS in offloading his players.
Just look at Kompkamp, Baros, Nando and Cisse.
Ah Ben looks to dump Bellamy, Crouch and Fowler.
But, Bellamy is still a asset to Liverpool as he is still the MOST hardworking worker during play.
Ah Ben have already bring in the russian striker.
I dun think he is so agressive and stupid to bring in two strikers if both of them become flop and the strikers that he offload starts scoring.
As for Fowler, his instincts for goals is still priceless and he will win a CL medal in 2007. -

Also, the new striker is from Ukraine, not Russia.
I think Iaquinta is better den Crouch. I dont see how/why Crouch can remain at Liverpool becos his only asset is his knock downs. Other den that, hmmm....
