its a deserved win but not a happy one.
just couldnt comprehend the curse on liverpool players' (esp the strikers) ability to finish in the box.

Liverpool really contain The Villains throughout .... we stop the way they wanted to ....
And we control the rhythm of the game . Villa can't really get anything from us .
The handball incident that caused the penalty is a bit , well.....unlucky .
The ball just struck Carra's hand at the wrong time right at the wrong place !!
I thought Reina could have save from Barry , no ! The penalty was well-taken .
Ya la .... Gerrard's goals was good , good to win any games .
Torres did well ma .... Kuyt also ...Babel was good once he came on ....
The worst player on our side could well be Xabi Alonso , cos basically he did nothing much than to slide in a few of his trademark tackles . -
Liverpool did not marshall the midfield properly.
That is why Villa can controlled the game most of the time.
Overall game play - Villa played more in a team with flow.
Liverpool did not play like a team and did not impose themselves against the opponent.
They need to gel faster as a team.
Only Steve pushed forward for a victory when the team was drawn.
At least we won the 1st game.
The team need to be more hungry about winning game.
They are just too soft. -
liverpool defence is shaky i feel, especially from aerial threats.

Alonso really has lost form from the last season. He can't seem to get a grip and control the midfield like what he did in his first season.
I'm more disappointed in Sissoko's performance. Freaking CMI!!!
For the few minutes he was on, he lost possession three times! Thus, allowing Aston Villa to try to get an equaliser. He will always lose the ball immediately after he touches it. Can't he keep it for 30 secs or something? He allergic to the ball is it? -

So often times, you see the strikers too unselfish, always try to pass when there's a shooting chance and the midfielders too selfish, always shoot on sight.
But can't be blamed. Our captain long shot expert, Alonso half field expert, and Riise also packs a punch in his shots. Only Pennant guai guai always try to bring the ball to the end and cross it. -
dang....villa still need a commanding midfield presence...reo coker is not the answer....i'm worried with mccann gone, we have no ball winners now...coker doesn't look like he's gonna get stuck i and win balls.
this season's 4-3-3 nowhere as good as last season's....need to play the ball to carew's feet and not his head and let him pick young and agbonbon out...
and on villa signing carson on loan....that's a farking stupid decision!!! 2mil for a keeper on loan?? i mean that's what man city, fulham, west ham spent on isaksson, niemi and green PERMANENTLY!!!!!! you can get a good keeper not even a decent one PERMANENTLY for 2 mil!!!
it's not like carson is way better than sorenson, sorenson is good enough.. and why o'neill doesn't give taylor more chance?? he's done well....i'd rather we overpay a good outfield player by 2 mil just to get him......absolutely mind boggling from o'neill.... -

As for Carson on loan to Villa ...... Carson is a good 'keeper . What he did at Charlton last season , we all saw , at the moment , not much available 'keeper that is young , english and capable , and establish england national , or even future england no.1 .
So Villa has got only Carson on their list .
2 million pounds for the whole season , for a top-quality 'keeper , worth la , Death !! -
