The 25-year-old summer signing has played every minute of the Black Cats' Premier League campaign to date.Who is this Etuhu ?
But last Saturday's events at the JJB Stadium have gone a long way towards dissipating the feelgood factor at the Stadium of Light after an encouraging start.
Roy Keane's men simply crumbled as Emile Heskey's opener and two second-half penalties - and it could have been more - handed Chris Hutchings a second successive victory.
The Wearsiders headed for home well-beaten after failing to reproduce the heroics which had secured them four points against Tottenham and Birmingham.
With Liverpool heading for the north-east on Saturday, Sunderland could have asked for easier opponents but midfielder Etuhu for one is intent on making the Reds pay for his disappointment.
He said: "I can't get the Wigan result out of my head.
"I can't remember how good it felt to beat Spurs in our first game because losing at Wigan makes it feel like the good things have been wasted.
"It has ruined my week. I've not watched any other football this week because I can only think of our result.
"I've found it hard to let it go. We have to learn from our mistakes and put it all right on Saturday."
Keane will again be without winger Carlos Edwards, who damaged a hamstring at Birmingham, while he will make a late check on skipper Dean Whitehead's knee injury, although defender Paul McShane is expected to be ft after having 10 stitches put into a head wound.
The Irishman has made a point of rotating his side throughout his time on Wearside - he made four changes last week, not all of them enforced - and it would be no surprise if he did the same this time around.
Etuhu, a £1.5million signing from Norwich, is desperate to hang on to his place after a good start to his career at the Stadium of Light.
However, he insists that if he is one of the victims of Keane's rotation policy, that will simply make him more determined to prove his worth.
He told the Sunderland Echo: "The boys who were here last season said that the gaffer likes to keep it fresh and makes a lot of changes.
"That keeps people hungry and on their toes.
"I really want to get out there against Liverpool to try to get last Saturday out of my system.
"If I'm dropped, I'll come in on Monday an angry man wanting to show the manager I should be playing.
"Having strong competition is a sign you are at a big club. All the best clubs have it and I think I'll enjoy it."
Passes outside penalty box, then went to Voronin in box, who then short pass back to MOMO who just closed eyes, says a prayer, kisses the ground, hugs the nearest player next to him and take a whack off the ball.Originally posted by tys:how sissoko score?

We need a proper 4th central defender. And no, Gabriel Paletta is not the one.
