actually i feel that liverpool shouldn't have won by such a big margin especially if they fail to qualify in the end rather then winning 1-0 or 2-0.
then the fans won't turn on benitez and ask why don't you play em like this from day 1 rather then wait till the team is in dire straits before doing it.

I think the Anfield crowd really shocked Besiktas ....

Rafa will again believe it's his tactics that work.
The players will think they are big-shots and invincible and no need to work hard to win matches.
Their own press will further psycho the players into thinking that way.
No one will think of it as Besiktas' ineptness in playing football.
Then when the next big crisis comes, I'll just say "I told you so".

The 8-0 mauling of Besiktas at Anfield in the sides' Group A game leaves Liverpool with a fighting chance of qualification for the last 16 and will - claims Benitez - worry all of Europe now.
Liverpool still have to beat Porto and Marseille in their final two group games to salvage their qualification ambitions, but Benitez now considers that opponents will be 'worried and concerned' about facing the five-times European Cup winners.
Benitez said: 'Porto now have to come to Anfield in the next match and they will be worried by this. The rest of Europe will also be aware of what we have done.
'But in the end we still have to win those last two games, regardless of how many goals we scored this time.'
Yossi Benayoun grabbed a hat-trick, Ryan Babel and Peter Crouch hit two each with skipper Steven Gerrard grabbed the other goal as the Turkish side collapsed under the pressure of Liverpool's stunning attacking play.
Benitez said: 'We have been creating a lot of chances in previous games, but not scoring them.
'Today we scored early and the game opened up. Besiktas also had to win to keep their chances of qualifying going so they had to come out and try to attack and that gave our forwards space to use.
'It made our movement easier, the space was there and our strikers were on very good form.

'It is very difficult to accept this result, but life does go on and we have to work much harder now to improve in the future. I can promise our fans we will do that.' -

i think rafa should try the new benayoun crouch comby. play crouch as targetman and benayoun on the right rather than on the left. benayoun feed crosses.
babel plays better in a more forward position rather than in the wings.
central midfield of gerrard masch and xabi and lucas good enuff. dont ever play sissoko
riise i think also play better in left mid rather than left back coz he cant defend well.
arbeloa should get forward more often to be our attacking full back. -
After kena whacked 8-0 by my opposition , the last thing i wanted was to ask to exchange for a jersey .... and i saw a Besitas player just after the final whistle , asked Crouch for his jersey .

Ok. At least they won. Though Besiktas really suck, they still won. Now why not just stick to this team for the next match at least?
