Reading quite toothless this season , wonder why they sold that Korean chap who did so well for them last season .
Reading of the last 2 seasons was very good , not this season .

The only way that Liverpool is going to lose this game is by fielding reserves and mis-fit prior to the critical champion league game.
Ah Ben is known to be timid about deploying his players in EPL before a CL match.
The players have also been affected by the manager to play "gingerly".
So, this match is a potential waterloo for Ah Ben.

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez may rest defender Jamie Carragher against Reading on Saturday ahead of crucial meetings with Marseille and Manchester United.
Carragher is still feeling the effects of a rib injury, and is also a booking away from missing the date with United on Sunday week. He seems certain to be held in reserve for Tuesday's Champions League group decider in Marseille.

I was reading the Liverpool FC web site on why Ah Ben was not blasted for rotation policy recently.
I guess I add some comments on what actually went right.
1. Removal of Momo
Momo have been with Liverpool for one season.
It is amazing how he struggle to blend in with the team.
It is evident how he performed during the Newcastle united match.
I believe he is now gift-wrapped for Jan 08 transfer.
2. Revival of Crouch and Return of Kengster
Crouch have been in "strange" cold storage by Ah Ben since the beginning of the season.
It may have been due to his comments to the press to be in the 1st team at the start of the season that pissed Ah Ben off.
But, he is, in fact, very very useful in holding the ball up front and creating havoc for the defenders.
Despite Ah Ben's severe prejudice against robo, robo have actually saved Ah Ben's ass quite a lot of time that now Ah Ben have reversed his decision to offload him.
As for Kengster, although he dun deserve any medals for MIAing in the sick bay, I have to admit he have added strength on the left wing and his combination with Riise is a headache towards any opposition.
I just hope he dun return to the Liverpool sick bay after getting his re-contract.
3. Return of form for Captain Stevie
His assists have made HUGE difference in making goal galore for Liverpool.
So, Liverpool fans have to thank Maclaren if Liverpool can win the EPL title this season.
4. Super sub Babel
He have become the last burst of fire for Liverpool in the last 10 - 20 minutes.
If you need a change of pace, he is there to turn it on and score some goals in the process.
But, he does not really perform well for the full 90 minutes.
5. Discovery of who fits where
By this stage of the season, Ah Ben should more or less know where to deploy his players after so much mis-fit in the beginning of the season.
With the players comfortable in their best position, they have played better and with more passion.
6. Torres
I think he comes as a HUGE gambling success after Cisse and Kuyt have both failed to deliver.

score is now 1-1
comeon liverpool!
www
with sissoko, liverpool is like playing with 10 players with a mole.
before it went into half-time, liverpool was playing slightly better.
you will hear a lot from benitez if liverpool cannot win this game.
penalty given against the reds for foul outside the box and two obvious penalties denied.

the torres penalty decision was a big one, if it was anfield i think it will be given even though it should.
and copell must have told his players at half time that the gods were smiling at them.

never expect liverpool to lose in this unfashionable way.

A very difficult match ...
Steve Coppell's men played a very physical game ... one of the most physical side in the league , besides Bolton , even Bolton nowadays got less physical .
Surprisingly , the crowd were very quiet , but Reading not only kept us out , they scored 3 .
Liverpool make it even more difficult , when they put their priorities on the UCL before this match .
The Reds very obvious , never played all out , just going thru motion , hoping for a draw , back fired !
Maybe Ah Ben was think'in , leader Arsenal dropped 2 points , we can also drop some points too .... wtf
Anyway , just base on our performance , nevermind la this lost . It's either a draw, or lose ...we dun looked like winning anyway , lose & draw , 1 pt diff , no big deal , no diff to me .

it's just one of those days when we're not sharp enough against a very hardworking team and everything else goes against us ... can't wait for the next 2 games ...
www
liverpool is at it again. drop points when the leader are doing so, and they drop even more.
no doubt tuesday night is important to liverpool, benitez should treat all 3 points with equal importance.
i agree ref's decisions made things hard for them, but if u let sissoko continue to play the way he does when they are trailing, u cant blame others when u lose.

Ah Ben is born with a itchy backside.
If he dun get KICKED once in a while, his backside will be flashing "Kick Me" !
It is pretty obvious that Liverpool have kelong the match tonight.
The team line-up have no wingers, no solid midfield and serious lack of understanding.
As a manager, I will agree that resting key players for the coming CL match is important.
But, messing up the team line-up AGAIN by placing Voronin as ineffective winger and MOMO as a ball loser constitute a VERY OBVIOUS CASE of KELONG.
The English FA should get Ah Ben in for ball-losing investigation.
If Liverpool loses the next two matches, Ah Ben can blame no one but himself for digging his own grave.
I have to support the sacking of Ah Ben if Liverpool is out of the champion league this season and out of the 3rd placing in EPL.

Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez gave young centre-back Jack Hobbs his first Premier League start, but it was a foul by the vastly experienced Carragher which led to the Reds falling behind on 15 minutes.
When Benitez asked for a new centre back , Hicks maybe told him no , so he used Jack Hobbs .
When Benitez asked Hicks to sign Mascherano on a permanent basis , Hicks maybe also told him no , so he used Lucas in place for Macherano .
Maybe in the coming January Window , we dun see any new players coming in ... Jack Hobbs and Lucas is the 2 new kids on the block . And loses Mascherano to Barcelona .
Or maybe , Benitez were told to used subs more often .....
stellazio
Losing Mascherano would be a big blow. Benitez should sell Momo to help fund for Mascherano.

Lucas and Hobbs performed well during their appearance.
It is only one guy that is not performing up to standard.
The guy from Mali.
He was not to be blamed for last night defeat as he have performed consistently lousy the whole season.
www
i realised the importance of retaining mascherano.
