There are suggestions former assistant coach Pako Ayesteran could return to Liverpool after he was spotted at Anfield this week.
The Spaniard left the club earlier in the season after a reported fall-out with Rafa Benitez, who he also worked with during the manager's time in charge at Valencia.
Ayesteran joined Spanish side Real Sociedad as director of football, but announced he was leaving that role earlier this week following the recent resignation of coach Chris Coleman.
Many fans have pointed to Ayesteran's departure as a key reason for the Reds' slump in form this season. Benitez did not officially name a replacement, with first-team coach Alex Miller asked to have more of an input.
But there is now speculation suggesting the manager and assistant partnership could be reformed, after Ayesteran was spotted at Liverpool's youth game against Arsenal this week.
I really like him to be back at Anfield .
We won the UCL with him .
Stay within the top-4 with him .
The lads likes him .
No reason why Benitez wouldn't say yes .
Maybe Benitez swallowed his pride and asked him back.
I think some one at board is asking him back for a better pay check.
He seems to be the reason for the right player selection.
Rafa is a paper coach and does not really understand the meaning of form.
Ah Ben have been given enough time for getting EPL title.
Maybe Pako is back cos Jose is coming on for the next season.
Ah Ben is too proud to admit his mistakes.
