Ah Ben have grown a ugly habit within the Liverpool players.
That is to play soft before a champion league match.
I would not be surprised if they play 110% on thursday morning.
But, for arsenal to come back from 10 men and 2 goals down to win is scary.
I was hoping for a morale damper if arsenal lost the previous game.
I was disappointed.
That show the mental strength that the team have.
Liverpool would have a hard time in beating arsenal.

Rarely can a Merseyside derby have been so routine and the outcome so predictable. No real drama, no controversy, no acrimony and no real excitement, just a realisation that the gulf that exists between Liverpool and Everton is unlikely to be bridged this season. such was Liverpool's dominance of this one that it became, at times, a mundane affair in which class � not to mention the benefits of a much stronger and fresher squad � told.

The Merseyside derby for me is the game I look forward to most and it's always extra special to beat Everton. I thought we started brilliantly and took the game to them. Fernando Torres is fantastic and he took his goal really well. We should have won by more in the end.

Last week against Man United things did not go well for us but even when we were 3-0 down the fans were still with us and I could hear them singing my name. As a player that makes you feel really good, to know that you have their support, and for that reason my goal in the derby is for them. They were with me when things were going badly so it is good to be able to score a goal that will make them happy. To score the winner in my first derby is fantastic. It is very important to me that the fans are happy because if they are happy, I am happy.

We are really pleased for our supporters that we won and have done the double over Everton. It was really important for the team and for the club. We had a lot of chances in the first half, but we didn't get the second goal and we know that while it is 1-0 it could only take a corner or a free kick and you can concede. I think the team showed a lot of character after the disappointment last week and, particularly in the first half, we showed a lot of quality.

What more can you ask for? 100 goals in all competitions, and what a way to achieve it! 3,000 points in the league at Anfield, and what a win to achieve it! It's always sweet to beat Everton. Martin Skrtel and Sami Hyypia were both excellent keeping Everton at bay, and with Torres in attack defenders just can't cope with him.
