ACtually, i will love to see Riise in midfield,so Kewell can play just off the 2 strikers in so called a free role.
Pity Carragher's out,so there's no cover at left back.
But yeah,I think Kewell should get the free role. -

I do prefer him on the left.
He has natural good left feet. His dribbling skills makes him a gd left attacker and you dun see many left attackers who dribbles their way thru the right hand side of the opp defenses in EPL. He makes intelligent runs, crosses well and scores good goals on the left.
Prefer someone whose got excellent touches on both feet to run the show in midfield. Anthony Le Tallec would make a good choice but his appearance will be limited due to his age and experience. Will likely see Gerrard and Hamann regularly running the center when the latter is back from injury. -

Yes, I had to agree with the previous comment. Kewell? with him or without him in the side, no difference IMHO. But at least he provide some width to a team with no width.
This thing about switching sides with Diouf...wahaha...what a joke. GH thinks both of them are Zidane and Figo...for goodness sake they can play with both feet.

The trend or rather the the future demands of a wide player is one who can dribble and trouble the defense
One who has that extra pace and trickery to draw players(opp) out from position.
Then consequently deliver that quality cross or pass to the front.
Thats what I call the modern pace setting of today's football.
Looks like Liverpool has still haven outgrown thier retro playing mentallity. -
