I think rather than he purposely threw it away, I would like to suggest that he is not as upset as it seems to be. I think he has an attitude that if they progress, ok fine, if they do not, fine too.

i just think that liverpool is CRAP...
GH's fault..
they were an attacking team with creativity to spare... then GH made them turn into a defensive team...
sure it won 3 trophies..
but the players lost their spark, their creativity..
and GH tried to turn them back into an attacking team... but they have lost their spark long ago...
so now, they're mired in mediocrity
p.s. don't think they threw it away on purpose... seeing it's the only silverware they are capable of winning..
and GH? if they got relegated, i think he'd behave the same way... trying his damnest to save face without being obvious..

when i say first eleven, it means the best possible players u can chunch out with.

True. i dun think GH is throwing the game away. Pool was unfortunate to concede a penalty late in the game. Though i am a ardent fan, seriously the league cup is the only sliverware pool is capable of winning this season.
Now i hope pool will bag the UEFA cup to make up the disappointment felt by concerned fans out there.
