[/So what you guys think...another boring but effective WIN? Will Owen and Gerrard be back for this game? Will Kewell and Diouf improve on their game? Can our defence hold up against Angel and co.? Is Dudek ok to start?
Villa is the form team of the moment...they'll be tough to beat. But on our day, we can beat any team. Then again, our inconsistency had cost us dearly this season.
My take is a WIN...perhaps, 3-1.
Aston Villa's attack is no match for Liverpool's defending ! And with the game being held at Anfield , Villa will get it from us , from Whistle One !
Form team ? Not against Liverpool , at Anfield !
Whether or not Dudek playing or not , our defense will be intact there , no change ! They wanna score , they will have to break our defensive wall first , which is not easy , and to score ? Not easy la !
Well , an easy win 2-0 !
Liverpool ! Three points !
Somemore is Aston Villa own goal right?

Well, it's ugly...but we WON!
I think we did enough to deserve the win...could've been more if Kewell brought his shooting boots along. Owen is obviously rusty...how did he miss that 1-yarder?!
As for our loan-keeper, he did well on his debut. I've always liked him and I hope he'll stay.
And yes, we need to beat team like Villa week-in-week-out.
Eh, not fair to say we've been ugly all this season.
Remember the 1st-half display agst Gunners at Anfield. That was breathless and that's what we used to see in the 80s.
But somehow, we're not able to get results from playing that way and now, GH has no choice but to play ugly to get the points.
It really sickens me that we have to choose between win-ugly or lose-pretty...LFC can and should do better than this!!!
its his last resort cos he might be gone the next game...
Liverpool will play like Arsenal in the 80s, in which they go for 1-0 scoreline.
They will score and then defend, defend and defend.
An observation was noted, correct me if I see wrongly.
For the past few games, Liverpool have utilised extensive wing play.
However, the midfield is not moving forward to support them, ie Kewell or Diouf.
They were observed to be seeking for some one to pass the ball.
But, no one was around.
Three opponents are alway seen cornering a Liverpool players, in which he struggled to hold on, but eventually losing the ball cos he have no one to pass his ball too.
Liverpool's passing and team work is not good enough.
But, they should be able to hold on 4th place.
Oh yes ! With one game in hand , and with Owen already returned , and Carragher , Baros on the brink of return , I see a stronger Pool chasing the forth spot !
The only problem is our goalkeepers' department , Jones is here for only 1 month , and both Kirkland along with Dudek , will have doubts over their fitness , hope Jones can stay a bit longer until both are fully fit to play !
A good result that Newcastle drew with Man U
