Short pain is better than long pain rite?!
Yeah, I think we shd let him leave on 2 conditions - at a rite price and to a non-EPL club.
Much as I like him, I feel that he might be a little over-rated and too injury-proned.
So if we get good money from his transfer, it'll help us to rebuilt the frontline - imagine the likes of VDV, Figo, Cisse & Kewell?!
Anyone else dreaming in the same light?

I think it would be a mistake letting him leave without another proven striker in the squad. Even if we buy another big name player in another European league, he has to settle in first. And history shows, if you allow a star player leave and not use the money wisely, the team will go down further. Blackburn has done it a few times in Shearer and Duff.

It'll be ideal if we can keep him and yet strengthen our attacking formation. But do we have the finances?
He's the most saleable asset at the moment, so if our budget is tight, it'll make good sense/gamble to sell him n make some wise signings. -
One striker has and will go this summer, but I think most probably not Owen. Mr. Bruno, the squad just got bigger in the strikers department.

But there's a new scenario.......Owen last claimed he'll stay at Liverpool (sign an extension )once his adviser come back from holiday , this happened just after D.Cisse claims he will be joining LIVERPOOL FC this coming season , so.....is that a co-incidence or Owen can finally can't threaten LFC further and take a step back ?

Nothing's for sure till he pens his signature...at this moment, things can go either way.
Quite true tat our striking options are getting too many, esp. if Cisse is really coming to Anfield. Guess Heskey is feeling the heat now - more so than ever
There's also a chance tat Baros may go, dun think he'll like to be 3rd/4th choice.
Hence, alot depends on whether Owen stays...if he does, then others may've to go.
