Rumours has it tat the billionaire Thai PM is considering buying over LFC.
Interesting...but do we need him?

If he did, I wonder how much he knows about english soccer..
I hope he doesn't spend like Roman Abramovich.. then again, we need some money to buy world-class players.. or at least reform the management.. -
At the rate that the present Liverpool team is throwing Cup matches away, they will run into financial crisis in feeding worthless white monkey, donkey and elephant.
Then, they will end up selling Owen.
So, any one that can enter the Liverpool management now is good as a different and stronger voice will be heard.
This will ensure that Liverpool do not harbour over-due manager and big-headed players.
The Point is I hate of hearing MU, GA-NER and Chelksea all the time and all these years.
I want to shout and scream out and be ya-ya papaya about Liverpool !!!!!!!!!

If it does happen , if it's for the good for LFC , to be another Chelsea , why not ? I certainly welcome that !
Of course if Mr Thaksin is mainly doing it for business , and money rolling , and not interfering with the team's selections and affairs , why not ?
If it's to be making a better LIVERPOOL for the next decade or so , and built a Football Club every players in the world would like to sign for , again , why not ?
I , as a Fan , really doesn't matter to me who's Boss , as long as , LFC is there at that Elite Level , and WINNING it ! That's what i'm more concern with , other than that , is secondary ! -
They say $$$ is the greatest evil...I believe it's true.
As fans, we want to see the REDS do well. But I wun be very proud of them shd their success be achieved only after huge sum of $$$ are pumped in, ie, we're deemed to have bought success with money - something which the Scums and Chelski are perceived to have done/be doing.
Perhaps my thinking is out-dated...but I still feel tat too much of anything is no good; and tat includes $$$. -

Look at the top strikers, they score year in year out... They get marked, they find a way to lose their marker. Not Owen. For so many games i just see him stagnant there, at the edge of the penalty box. No diagonal runs, no nothing. Even if the ball falls to his feet, either he loses control of it, or he gets tackled.
Seeing him play pisses me off. Put any other Liverpool fan from the stands onto the field and that guy will put in more effort than that idiot Owen -

All in all , it started all from UEFA Champions' league , the TV revenue , the appearance revenue , the gate money , the advertisement endorsement reward , it's just too good for a Club not to go for it ! I heard it's about 100 million pounds a season for the UCL participant !

Football now is so much commercialized and players having million of pounds in their pocket! Besides having the club reputation as stake now, money solves a lotta issue to get that elusive star player.
I was skeptical about the Thai PM's intention to buy out LFC cos apparently, LFC was not his first priority then. It was Fulham FC. I certainly welcome millions pour in here but I do worried abt that investor's intention.
Anyway, so long the everyday running of the club belongs to the Manager, the money much needed will be of good use. -
Like what Poolman have stated, football is all about money.
Money to feed Expensive players and managers.
Soccer club like Liverpool are aiming for CL because of the gate money, not for the Cup.
They need the gate money for the revenue.
But, since Liverpool will not be playing CL soccer next season, they will need another avenue for money.
That is why they will need another sugar daddy.
As for the blame on Owen for his one-dimensional ball skill, I agreed on the part that he is unable to shake of his marker as he alway have a shadow following him every match.
But, Liverpool have alter their play in front of goal lately.
Last time, it was alway direct ball to Owen to score.
Now, it seem like every one want to have a go at the goal.
So, Owen's chance of getting the ball is reduced so his chance of scoring is also reduced.
But, at least he is there to assist and support goal scoring, unlike his fellow england counterpart. -

maybe we need his money ... but if he does buy the club i really hope he doesn't do what that roman has done ... i'd hate the manager (whoever he is) to have free access to the money ...
... our situation is quite different to chelski's ... ranieri had led the team to champs league qualification before the money came in ... he hasn't had the freedom to buy any player he wanted ...
... same goes for wenger ... he has spent wisely i think ... from memory his most expensive flop is that flap ears jeffers ...
... what i'm trying to say is i'd love us to have the financial capacity ... but we need someone who can use it wisely ... like wenger (what could wenger have done with >$100m?) ... and the last thing we want is to turn ourselves into a bunch of mercenaries ... -
This may not be too distant a reality now.
Report has it tat Thaksin is serious...only waiting for LFC to accept the offer. If everything goes thru as reported, we may've 64million inflow of funds, a new sponsor logo ("elephants" if not wrong
), an academy in Thailand, and a say to the future of GH.
This is a potential win-win case...any thots? -

I like his idea on Academy...but on LFC's jersey with an elephant , that Made-In-Thailand Chang Beer , not too nice leh !
