And with Leeds playing like no tomorrow just now , we are lucky to come home with a point !
Leeds certainly does not looked like a team playing to avoid relegation , in fact , my wife were asking me just now if Leeds will be crown Champion if they beat Liverpool !
She never gets any answers from me !
Kewell score a similiar goal like against that Bulgarian team , but that goal by Baros is a wonder goal !
We could have won if Owen brought his shooting boots along , but he hasn't ! Lucky us Smith hit the cross bar ...or we could have been beaten !

I thot it was a good game with a fair result - it'll be unjust shd either team had lost.
All the goals were superb if not world class, altho I feel our defence shd've been tighter.
How I wish Viduka is playing for us i/o Heskey, while Smith (the MOM) was in place of even Owen - still off-colour leh!
Anyway, we're still on track...thx to the Pompeys. -

Crude I have to say but I simply dun give much a damn about excuses. The performance on the field says it all.
For the past Seasons, we have seen LFC playing dodgy football to say the least. We are not asking for the passing football that LFC was famed for in the 80s but to play good football with passion and clever tactical play.
Week in week out, we have seen LFC playing with not much of a purpose and only a handful of players capable of doing that. Maybe it's not due to the players at all... maybe it's just due the tactics employed by GH.
As mentioned before by a fellow Reds fan here... we need someone to bring LFC a level up and above. Playing consistent football that win Championship. -

... ah pool, i lost my confidence long time ago ... that's why i said i don't believe he's good enough to lead us to the title ... he might be good enough for teams like boro, who win one cup in a 100yrs ... but that's not good enough ... juz look at how far we've fallen behind arsenal ... however, he has until the end of the season as far as i'm concerned ...
... it's not juz the excuses, it's most of his crap ... every team that we played against was "a very good team"? ... personally i thought leeds was far from impressive ... teams like arsenal would have put them away easily ... but all we could do most of the time was hoof the ball up ... is the football really that scary? ... even charlton had the ball on the ground most of the time against arsenal ...
... maybe the way stevie g hugged him gave him a big boost (i hope not) ... who do u think will be up to the job? souness is a proven failure, keegan? barnes? hansen? lawrenson? thommo? king kenny (according to rumours)? coleman started as caretaker, maybe we can do the same? as for established managers, spurs target capello (who has said the epl interests him) springs to mind immediately ...

Litmanen's case was still a myth to me. Perhaps we let him go on financial grounds - he was the highest paid non-1st-team player. But It was a shame he wasn't given the chance to contribute more.
If remember correctly, Fowler left coz he wanted to a regular place for his World Cup ambition. At tat time, Owen was the preferred choice for the Reds. Besides, I think Fowler was partly to be blamed for his own "downfall". -
You were asking , who's best to replace him ? Honestly , i can't think of one ! Maybe for me , anyone will do , they can anytime do a job better than that Frenchman !
That's the reason why Mr.Parry until now , still have faith in GH , 'cos there's no one else that can really comes into the winning picture , to win things for LFC !
My first choice is still Martin O'Neill ! He is the type of manager that I can called Passionate about Football , like jumping when scored , or furious when decision went against him , and every player in the team would play for him !
Looking at Celtics , he took over the team when Rangers rule , now he has won every Major Title in Scotland , and even fared better in Europe than Rangers ! He don't make Mega signings , he kept his existing players , and got a few on free , and start winning , and kept winning , with a tight budget !
If Martin O'Neill is given the budget GH was given , I bet he can do a more terrific job ! 'Cos in Leicester and Celtics , he works with a tide budget , and succeed ! I don't see how he can fail with a sound financial backing !
