Pele 'greatest-ever' list shocks Brazil
Brazil legend Pele has upset his fellow countrymen with his choice of the 120 best living players in the world for FIFA.
Only 12 Brazilians are on the list and the surprise omissions have infuriated the country's media.
'According to Pele, Italy and France have more stars than Brazil,' said the Folha do Sao Paulo newspaper.
'In the list of the best 120 living players made by FIFA and Pele, the five-time World champions have only 12 names.'
'Pele's list forgets Brazilian stars,' exclaimed sports newspaper Lance!. 'It surprises us that names like Rivelino, Gerson or Tostao are out of it, while Senegal's Diouf is there together with Korea's Hong and Ghana's Abedi Pele.'
The newspaper is also furious that many names from the glorious Brazil World Cup-winning team of 1970 are not included, while eight members of the France team which won the 1998 World Cup are in.
Among the Brazilians on the list are 2002 World Cup-winners Cafu, Roberto Carlos and Ronaldo, who had an argument with Pele after the tournament.
The players were upset with Pele's criticism during the tournament and accused him of being opportunistic
Basically I myself felt Pele is a talk-cock king off-field. Wondered if he included maradonna, his arch-rival and counterpart on the list? -

Just read TNP today. Some of the players who the talk-cock king has voted and my personal views:
1. Maradona (puzzle me because i thought pele all along was jealous of diego)
2. Romario (puzzle me too because i thought they disliked each other and used to suan each other in the past)
3. David Beckham (this piss me off as I feel david is too over-rated in my views)
4. Michael Owen (if owen is damn good, where is his gold metals? Again this prove pele has a bad judgement who he in the past said that owen will one day become like him.)
5. Pele himself (if this guy can vote himself and not his fellow team-mates, this shows that he is an egomania and wang en fu yi kinda guy.)
Anyway the talk-cock king was kind enough to select 15 Brazilians and still Brazil criticise him. Maybe pele should shut the hell up from now onward. -
i question the motive and purpose of compiling this list ... as well as pele's wisdom in actually compiling it ... i heard he has done some ads for viagra ... maybe that explains why ...
