GH got a long list of injuries to blame though:
Steve Finnan (shoulder), Florent Sinama-Pongolle (ankle), Anthony Le Tallec (ankle), Vladimir Smicer (Achilles), Chris Kirkland (broken wrist) and Salif Diao (calf) are all out, while Bruno Cheyrou is also struggling with an ankle problem.
but the when looking at the above list.... I dont think it going to make much of a difference with the exception of Smicer and Pongolle. I personally like to see Smicer playing just behind the front 2 man.
Will Owen score again or its time Heskey show the fans that he is still worthy of the Red jersey? -
Owen scored two goals the last game.
Not guaranteed that his scoring form is back.
Wolves was injured by Aston Villa by 4 goals.
So , the Wolves players are hungry.
Liverpool will normally take a "break" after every good game.
They have not win two straight games.
As they will be travelling to Marseille for the UEFA fixture, they may want to rest their legs. -
Base on my experience , the first 5 minutes of the match will determine whether LFC will win or draw !
If we see a long ball tactics LFC (towards Heskey all the time) , we will likely to see a low scoring game , like 1-0 or 0-0 !
I did observe that everytime GH wants to reserve players' energy , he's likely to deploy this tactics , which mean lesser runs and lesser timing of play ! Like against Saints that day , which he intended to reserve for the match against Portsmouth , he used this tactics ! And lost !
If we see a ground penetrating LFC , like against Portsmouth , we'll likely to see multi-goals game !
That's my opinion !

Depending on the way Liverpool is playing, the broadcaster may decided to telecast live game of other club, maybe Manchester city.
The pulling power for Liverpool have decreased liao.
But, when the game is not telecast, they tend to win.
It is up to them.
Cannot wait for Spurs to trash MU, Ha Ha Ha !
If Liverpool is bad now, MU is not so good either.
But, they will normally come back fierce after a thrashing and win the rest of the games with large goal margin.
MU won all the remaining games last season and followed by the league title after being humilated by Manchester City.
Arsenal have to lose one day and let it start with Bolton.
Too bad, I hate Arsenal more than MU. -

I was on the road when the game started , i tuned in to BBC 88.9 and follow-up the scoreline throughout , and was devastated to hear results after results , goals after goals from other teams , except LFC's
!
I gets even more frustrated by one incident from that BBC commentator commenting on LFC Vs Wolves' game , he said this before the start of the second half : " That's one substitution for Liverpool , M.Baros in for that completely useless Emile Heskey !"
I was in for a shock by the frankness and directness of the commentator , I can't imagine how bad Heskey has played ?
I wonder what will GH think if he's the one that has over-heard this on the radio ?
I believe E.Heskey days are limit ! With the certain arrival of Cisse , I doubt he'll be able to hold on a place , even on the bench !

okay.. mea culpa.. not been keeping up with LFC stuff coz, face it.. they don't exactly play football that is good to watch anymore...
reading football365 about this game and one damning thing i read about it was this GH statement:
The Liverpool chief watched Sami Hyypia score the winner in the second minute of injury time and said: "Don't moan, we won the game."
3 points... but this is Wolves!! LFC should have turned this team into chopped liver!!
maybe it's best LFC get their ass handed to them at the end of the year and not even qualify for the UEFA Cup... then maybe GH would then go.. it's the best thing that can happen to LFC at the moment.. -

From the comments on the website, I can see that Liverpool is back to their old self of relaxing.
If they dun go all out for a medicore team, they can forget about the UEFA tie.

Seems like another frustrating game by the Reds...but the 3 pts did soften the "blow". At least the last-min goal means we did fight all the way!
Anyone here share my agony of watching the score updates throughout the Gunners' match?! For 90mins, it's was scoreless for the Reds...then finally, after the scums scored their 3rd goals, it's our turn to score, wat a RELIEF! Can get heartattack leh! -

This few week damn shiong for us !
First we had a break , then played Saints , Pompeys and Wolves in 10 days !
Now we're facing Marseille in midweek , then Leicester on weekend !
Buck up we must , but how long can they tahan ??? -
Liverpool have conserved enough energy during the wolves game.
So, they should be going for a 0 - 1 game against Marseille.
Score one goal and defend throughout the match.
Marseille may do a ultra-defensive line up.
But, they would want to impress in front of their home crowd.
And they have the firepower to play a lone striker.
If they play the same tactic, Liverpool would lose out as their lone striker is not on-form.
Therefore, it would be a 0 - 0 game with the ball bouncing among the midfielders.
Would take a MIRACLE for Liverpool to WIN. -
Hahaha , obviously you've observe how LFC played in Europe ! Typical Italian stuff huh ?
I think LFC will not score any goal there , just got a funny feeling ! To add salt to pain , Marseille will score first and it makes LFC even harder , we need to score 2 ! The first leg had already put a full stop for Liverpool in Europe , this tie is just a formality !
