It's still at a speculative stage...earliest possiblity is in the summer. I think it's gonna happen - CL spot or not. Let's say our wishes were granted tat GH leaves, who would u wanna have as his replacement.
Martin O'Neil has been a strong favourite since day 1. His achievements at Leicester and Celtic proved his credentials.
Recently, the Mourinho's link is going strong with comments even fm Porto. The reports so far have been positive - this chap seems to have all the right capabilities...but is he too young/inexperience or can he cope of the pressure of EPL?
Are there more able replacements - Capello, Ranneri...or even Gordon Strachan!? -
Do you know how old is Fulham's Chris Coleman ? Everton's David Moyes ? Birmingham's Steve Bruce ? Bradford's Bryan Robson ?

I , nowadays....for one ...doesn't believe in Old Bird manager liao ! Maybe....the times has changed ! Old bird Manager afterall , might not do the job like a young gun manager!

Actually , just a personal opinion.....it's also my buddies Redz and KPO opinion , why not keep GH as a LFC 's Football Developement Director , taking charge of developing future talents , and signing players......since the Board back him so much , keep him to do his specialty !
And at the meantime , if Chelski's Ranieri is going to get the boot , employ him as Head-Coach , doing only the coaching task !
Maybe it's for the good of all parties ! GH himself , the board , the fans , the players !

Most wld agree tat we already have a good squad of players (ok, plus n minus)... a proven n respectable mgr will instill much good for a start - I think boot room style wld be a bonus but shd not hinder our choices. -
If Liverpool is employ a 10 millon pounds for a striker that have scored less than 10 goals, why they cannot use the same money to lure a good manager.
I suspect that the players want GH to go, they are just paying lip services by saying they want him around.
