What Are We Going To Do With Cisse?

  There is a very strong possibility that Cisse will be coming to Liverpool. He's obviously very quick which is something we could do with up front considering Owen seems a bit short of pace at the moment.
  One thing is worrying me though. With the current managers preference for rigidity in a midfield that plays deep, would his quickness just be an excuse for us to lob the ball up to him.
  
  I think most supporters would prefer to see more fluidity and movement about Liverpool but with the current midfield strategy I think a quick forward would just encourage the long ball.
  
  I think Cisse's pace will worry defenders but Im concerned about the way we will use him.
  
  What do you think? Will he be an asset, or will he merely encourage the long ball and reinforce our cautious defensive approach by doing this?

  Kewell was scoring goals from the left wing at Leeds.
  
  After he arrived in Liverpool, he lost his form and playing left right left right like a monkey.
  
  Now, he is like very shy in front of goal like the rest of his team mates.
  
  Murphy is the ONLY penalty taker in Liverpool.
  
  Baros, Sinama, Le Tallec are not playing regularly in the first team to create any impact.
  
  Dudek not sure that he will be staying in Liverpool the next season.
  
  Now, playing against middle-table team like Birmingham become the BIG match.
  
  That is what Liverpool is now.
  
  So, adding a striker to an ineffective and lazy team will not and does not make a difference.
  
  Liverpool is where they are today cos of plain empty arrogance due to past glory and match laziness.

  in my opinion, the cisse purchase is houllier's way of saving his ass from getting sacked. pool has some decent strikers, excluding heskey. so why would they need another one, and at 14M or something like that ?
  
  i'm not sure what the pool board is waiting to sack gh. the fans want it. the results are crying for it. any available replacement out there? o'neill looks to be loyal to celtic. btw lippi is available at the end of the season. and possibly ranieri and hitzfield.

  To be fair, Cisse was wanted by us much earlier but various circumstances din allow tat to happen.
  
  I think he'll be a good addition...at least he has the desire to play for the Reds. I've not seen him play but the fact he's in the French squad says much abt his ability. How well he'll blend in depends on how GH utilise him...I suspect he's a direct replacement of Heskey.

  If Cisse is as fast as Henry , if not faster , then we need to play ball more on the ground , than Cisse will be effective , if not ..... Heskey will do ! No need Cisse !

  You just have to pray and hope Gerard Houllier does not play Cisse on Right Midfield.
