Gerard Houllier Leaves

Liverpool Football Club today announced they have parted company with manager Gerard Houllier. In an emotinal final interview with the website, Houllier insists he hopes the Reds can go on to win the title.
Sitting next to Rick Parry, Houllier spoke passionately about his time at the club, thanked the players and supporters for all their backing and insisted that while he'd have rather stayed as manager, he leaves Anfield on good terms with everyone.
"I have four special memories that I take away with me. Michael Owen scoring the winner against Arsenal with his left foot, Gary McAllister being handed the Man of the Match award against Alaves, the mosaic when I was recovering from heart surgery and Steven Gerrard taking his daughter around the pitch on the last day of the season.
"I arrived here six years ago as a Liverpool supporter and I leave as an even bigger supporter. I may have left Liverpool, but Liverpool will not leave me. I will return to watch the team as a fan."

It was quite a shocker! At least he accepted it with "typical" grace.It is just about time he move on. Never been the same after his heart attack. However we must thank him for the cup treble season.
Now I am excited over who is taking over. I fancy Martin O' Neil and Rafa Benitez but i doubt Rafa would want to join Liverpool.
With so many things happening at Liverpool, I just can't wait for the new season to start. -

If the season is a sad one, the sacking of GH is even sadder. For all his work n effort - altho I've dreamt tat he'll lead us to the EPL title - n more so his love for the club, I bid my farewell to him...YNWA!!! *standing ovation*

Moore and Co also went to Anfield to watch Pool played against Newcastle , they were in for a shock on what they hear from the fans ! That can really summed up their decision ! -

As a matter of fact , he go with his Head Held High ! Head high 'cause the things he implimented stays on ! Head Up High 'cos he fulfill the 'minimum requirement , not a goal " stuff !

Well. not surprised that he got the chop , but it happens so quickly ! I expect C.Raineri to get the chop ahead oh him , that's all !

Good News for all of us here. But then again i don't think the liverpool players have the desire and hunger to win games. Unless Pool drops half of the pool squad and starts buying new and class players, they will still remain the same as it is.
It doesn't matter who is the new manager actually.
