Second half , The Dutch started off defending , keeping the slender lead , not for long though , and wave of attacks after attacks , who else again , but our very own Mialn Baros ! Score from a beatifully struck volley past van Der Sar , after seeing Koller's chest down into his path ! 2-2 !
At 2-2 when everyone expecting The Czech to slow down for a draw , which is good enough for them to the QF , they never slacken down , they went for the winner , and it paid off , with 3 minutes to go . who else , but our Smicer to score a winner !
Hurray to our Duo Czech-Mate at Portugal !
Sorry to the Ruud Van Nisterroy's Netherlands , i still think The Dutch still can't match the elites of the French , English and Spanish , and The Czech Republic !
Reason : As long as Philip Cocu is in their centre of defense , forget Holland about winning anything ! -

Kudos to the Czechs, but I thot the Dutch were a little unfortunate. Perhaps the flying start made them over-confident. Anyway, it'll be a shame if they fail to get past this round... if tat happens, I'll hope it's Latvia instead of the boring "Germs" to get thru. -
If the Czech play like that again, i won't be surprise they will top Grp D.

The Koller & Baros worked very well for the Czechs. Baros is simply on form and will will do good for him when the new EPL season starts!
Neved didn't have a good game but did well enuff to strings some good passes. -
The best in my opinion is the Sweden vs Italy match. It was end to end action from start to finish. Italy had to win to keep themselves in contention whereas Sweden wanted to win top the group. the dutch played well for the first half.
the defeat was handed to the czech when he took out robben for bosvelt! robben was a thread all the time.. that dick (literally too) had to put in a defensive guy the let the team sit back.. holland looked better when they attack.. then when reiziger came in, you know it's game over

SINTRA, Portugal, June 20 (Reuters) - Czech Republic coach Karel Brueckner will rest players, including Pavel Nedved, against Germany in their final Group D match, he said on Sunday.

Speaking a day after his team clinched a quarter-final spot with a magnificent 3-2 victory over the Netherlands Bruckener said playmaker Nedved definitely will not start.
'I will rest Nedved, and some other players,' Brueckner said. 'We have plenty of good players in the squad.'
Germany need to win their final group game on Wednesday to be sure of reaching the last eight.
Brueckner's decision will not go down well with the Dutch, who need to beat Latvia and hope Germany do not win against the Czechs who have already won the group.
'I'm sure the Czechs will do their duty and play the way they can (against Germany),' Dutch coach Dick Advocaat said after their defeat to the Czechs in Aveiro on Saturday. -
