What a great game , that's from a neutral point of view !
As for someone like me who supported England for this campaign , it's quite pretty sickening to see them lose at such a manner - PENALTIES !
It's a cruel way to find a winner like this , but Portugal truly deserve the win , with or without penalties !
It'll be no justice that England went on to win by penalties !
A few question : 1. Why was Steve Gerrard taken out in place by Hargreaves ? Fatique ?
2.Why was Scholes taken out , and being replaced by Philip Neville ? I thought he has had a good game ?
3.Why isn't Heskey instead of Vassell , took over Wayne Rooney ?
4.Why did Beckham kept missing penalties kick ?
5.I was wondering , will Jamie Carragher makes a more defensive impact than Philip Neville ?
No excuse for losing , but England did well for this tournament !
Let's look forward for their WC qualifying campaign !
Let's also hope every English player gets a year older , and wiser ! -
i had on gamecast from soccernet as i'm at work.. no tv..
seems that portugal did almost ALL the attacking... and controlled the game...
am thinking if portugal continues to play like this and gets better, it's gonna be one heck of a rest of the Euro championships!

I Felt that England have defended their pen box well.
Portugal deserves to win in fact.
Their play were of sportsmanship. Kinda like it.
Now towards France and Greece! -

A game decided on penalty is what I would consider a game decided by luck. -
Wonder why the referee of this match is from Swiss...he might favor Portugal side since England knock his countrymen out of the tournament. Sounds fishy huh....
They should have get referee from other nationalities. -

English are a traditional attacking team , unlike Italy !
Ironically Sven G.Ericcsson wanted The English to defend like Lazio , wrong tactics !
Wonder he heard of this : Attack is the best defense !
