Likely Murphy will be around after he wsa assured by Ah Ben that he still has a part to play (i.e.. substitute). Hamman did say he liked to move back to Germany but nothing heard out yet. -
Ruben Baraja is a central midfield , he was deployed as a defensive midfielder for Spain in the Euro2004 !
Although it sounds like a Didi's position , but this chap has got more or less a defensive midfielder with an attacking instinct !
And he scores some scorching goals too from 30 yards out !
Rumour that Benitez are after Xavi Alonso too ?
And that Miguel Angel guy ?
This two honestly I never seen them play , anyone to tell us more of them ? -
I like Didi Hamann to stay for Pool , but the way Benitez had been selecting the sort of players to play for Valencia when he was in charge , I gets a bit worry for Didi !
As I said before , he prefer players with bit of mobility , Didi doesn't have speed , his minus point ! -

i like hamamn too but i would sacrifice him if he doesnt fit Benitez's style of football...

Baraja is similar in style to Steven Gerrard.Except that he is more defensive minded. I think he will be a good buy because he has worked with Benitez before and will fit in nicely into the manager's system.
Though,I am looking forward to more creative midfielders being signed.Speculated players like Rosicky and Aimar.We need invention in midfield to aid our strikers. -
Rosicky is linked to a move to Juventus too , and he's more keen to a move to the Serie A ! As for Aimar , I like him too , but realistically , not many Argentine can succeed in England !
For one , J.Seba Veron failed ! And I can't say Crespo succeeded in Chelsea !
Aimar is good for the La Liga , as for the EPL , I have doubts in his physic ! He's too small for our League ! A slight bang , he's down !
Imagine Sol Campbell , John Terry and those Monster that guard him ! -

Baraja plays in a similar style like Gerrard.
Signing Baraja is almost like having 2 Gerrards in the team.Sounds good to me. -

But yeh, he definitely looks good if he does come, partnering Stevvie in the centre of things.. -
Maniche ? I'm not so impressed with his overall defensive quality , there's a lot of Internationals who can perform so much better than him !
Credit to him , he did possessed some good long range shooting capabilities !

bring in lots of players from french league and in the end, none of them really a success in the Preniership... -
i hope that Gerrard will play as a more holding player n we'll get a more attacking playmaker in the mould of Aimar or Rosicky... That's a very good statement , Gerrard is indeed , afterall not a play-maker ! We certainly need the calibre of Aimar , Ronaldinho...... !
But again , we do have a ready-made playmaker in Danny Murphy ! He has got a low key season under Houllier , hopefully Benitez can blend him into a better player !
By the way , who is that Miguel Angel fella ? I tried to look at other sites from Malaga's link , but nothing in vain !
