Was thinking which team do we like more - 1st-H or 2nd-H?!
Judging fm the goals alone, I'll prefer the 2nd-H's (minus Diao
). Simply becoz of the way the goals were made - kudos to both Cisse n Murphy! And then, there was the fluke goal by Henchoz - our unsunk hero!
In contrast, the goals in the 1st-H reminds me of GH's era. 1st goal was fm set-piece, while Owen's was fm a typical direct-play.
So in a way, I see this as a match of 2 eras...of course we're now in the new n more promising one!

It's true Benitez are going to be very headache choosing his Top-11 ! Even I'm surprise to see Biscan played very well in that Central Midfield for Liverpool for the first two games !

Seriously, i think it's no big deal if owen leaves the club. His style of play is predictable and he always relies on speed to score goals but i noticed he's not as fast as before.

Predictable he may be.But his reputation is still there.Defenders fear him.So Owen always attracts 2 defenders to him.He may not score but that may create space for others.
Still 100k is too high but if Liverpool do well this season,money is not a problem.And Owen is not as Bad as Diouf or Emile Heskey. -
i wonder wat formation will benitez play? will he stick to a traditional 4-4-2 or maybe try smt adventurous like 3-4-3. So maybe we can have owen, cisse and baros upfront.

Its possible.Benitez has already hinted that having 4 strikers gives him more options up front.Playing those 3 up front will surely scare the opposite defence away. Imagine the pace.

i really think he did quite badly last season is because no one feed him genuine balls.. no one to give him good chances -

We need Michael Owen and some other 4 top notch strikers because it's not only EPL were challenging , we've got the UCL , The FA Cup , The League to challenge for , three strikers will not be sufficient ! We're in deep trouble if two are down with injuries , long terms or short terms injuries , 'cos in terms of player's fitness and fatigue , four will be a good number to rotate !

For defence, I think Carragher may be the surprise addition - either central or right side.
My ideal MF will hv Hamman + Biscan in the middle with Kewell n Stevie on the wings.
Striking roles shd see Owen + Cisse. But who knows, he may pair up Murphy with Cisse too -
Owen is the icon of LFC... no surprise tat he's also the highest paid.
But as a fan, I'm more concerned abt his performances on the pitch. It's not too harsh to say he has gone "stale" for the past 2 seasons - albeit with occassional injuries. Not only has he lost his speed (self-admitted b4), defences have gotten used to him too.
Hence, while I still wanna see him in the Reds' shirt, I hope he can re-invent himself to become a better player/striker. I've got the feeling tat the presence of Cisse may juz help him to do so this coming season -
Owen for EPL, League Cup & FA Cup.
Cisse for CL, League Cup & FA Cup.
Baros for EPL.
Le Tallec for kana condemned reserves.
Murphy can be the 4th striker cos he is the only one in Liverpool that have not miss a penalty.
Diouf - Lelong also no one want ?
